Afew people told me that Price decked David Haye, but i believe this is complete bull****. I believe David Haye decked Price badly leading up to his first fight with Wladimir Kiltschko that Haye pulled out of. And its one of the reasons why he left...Hayemaker Promotions. Because he was regularly being bummed mandingo style.
From what I remember in the "Making Haye" book, Price was used as a sparring partner when Haye was supposed to fight Wlad the first time. And Price was more than holding his own. But that camp was really bad for Haye.
They said before the Dallas fight that Price had been drafted into the David Haye camp to be used as his chief sparring partner, I read about a year ago that Odlanier Solis was also very complimentary of David Price when they sparred and so was Dereck Chisora.
Does it really ****ing matter? All that counts is what happens is on fight night, that's it... there is nothing else of any relevance at all. Sparring stories, training stories, Khan ran up the big hill faster than Pacquiao.... it's all ****ing pointless bollocks. Price and Haye have never stepped in a professional ring together, so any discussion about what else has happened is about as pointless as belly button fluff!
Price is no novice. I have seen Bradley Saunder, imo but it was close, get the better of that Abdul Answar or what ever his name is. Some people must think amateur boxing counts for nothing. I know of "pro" boxers who get beat up by novice amateurs. The main difference is you need to be fitter, that's it.
Some of the greatest fights in history have happened inside of the boxing gyms. Happened in training....
Tony Bellew told a pal of mine he sparred David Haye just before Bellew turned pro and Tony said he KOd Haye. He said Haye could really punch but his defence was shite and he couldn't miss him.
That may be the case but still means nothing to anyone apart from those involved and those who were there!
