I'd swear I heard Peter Maniatis on the radio the other day spruking that Heath Ellis had called out Anthony Mundine.

...probably a case of who cares, as I reckon he'd have little chance. Did anyone else hear that??

While on Heath, there's an article here worth a read:

Sounds like Mundine hs lost all credibility down under what with Greenie taking on genuine tests .you can fool some of the people some of the time etc , Big up's to Danny and IF he can get to fight Borenard Slopkins down in Sydney "Europe" even better....

Joe's promoting the kids now Phil , just drop that glowing lump of coal out of your hand ( let it go you have suffered enough )

Five years back i would have loved to have seen Joe v Danny @168lbs Danny would have made a decent fist of it imo but Joe in a lop sided UD ..

What pains me the most was Hopkins running from Calzaghe back in 2002 . shameful he had to skip an entire weight just to avoid him :-(

Hopkins running from Joe in 2002 would be like Dawson running from a match with Mundine now.

Come on Teke old son , You know it happened , I know it happened and the entire boxing world knew it happened , the man jumped from middle to light heavy just to avoid Calzaghe missing out 168lbs , i liked Hopkins but that was the first time i questioned his desire to fight Calzaghe .

TBH, I would still see Calzaghe giving Green a boxing lesson - too busy, too active, too many weird angles.

Green has shown he's a force to be reckoned with again after his break and with the extra weight his power is certainly not to be scoffed at, but I still think Calzaghe outworks him, despite being retired for a year, if he came back and trained seriously for it.

I don't know if anyone's ever read any of Irvine Welsh's books (the guy who wrote 'Trainspotting') but he uses that phrase in another of his books called 'Filth' when the main character is shagging his workmate's wife and indulging in a bit of auto-erotic asphyxiation :yep
