The question of the thread is 'Did Holyfield's TEAM avoid Ruddock?' And you said 'HOLYFIELD would never duck anyone' And I was basically saying that the question is asking if Holyfields TEAM was avoiding Ruddock, they are not inferring that HOLYFIELD ducked him they are inferring that maybe his TEAM ducked him

Holyfield wouldn't have avoided King Kong, much less Ruddock. If the money was right Holyfield would've gladly beat Ruddock's ass lol.

Holyfield may not have ducked him, but his team may have steered him away from him

Ruddock was mandatory after Tyson went to prison in 1992. Holyfield didn't necessarily avoid Ruddock but he chose to face Bowe instead. Then Lennox Lewis stepped up and fought Ruddock.

From pure memory was not the Lewis /Ruddock fight a eliminator ?

Bowe beat Holyfield like a rented mule while Ruddock was literally kicked off completely and a new era of heavies began.
