I had it 115-113 Lewis when I first saw it and re-watched it and scored it 116-112 for Lewis.

Holyfield won rounds 1, 6, 7, and 12. Lewis the rest.

    Agree.

LL was obviously and ridiculously robbed in the first. The second was close but an attempt to right the first wrong colored the 2nd fight's scorecards. Very close fight in the 2nd.

Both were great fighters. The last two undeniable greats in the heavyweight division. Horrible and laughable division in its entirety ever since.

    Good post.

I had Lewis winning the first fight 117-111 I had Holyfield winning the 2nd fight 116-112
That's boxing and the judges see things somewhat differently. I thought Holyfield fought a wonderful 2nd fight and Lewis at times looked every bit the lumbering oaf he really was.

I haven't watched this fight in years, but I did do a round by round break-down several times and I come up with 8-4 Lewis and if you're being generous I could see 7-5 Lewis. I've looked to find other rounds to give Holyfield and simply couldn't.

My take on this is that over the two fights Lewis won the first 9-3 and the second either 8-4 or 7-5 in either, cause he won about 16/24 rounds that were fought.

In a word, no. Holyfield raised his game and fought like the champion we all knew he was, even had the better moments but Lewis won the fight, i had the Brit winning by two rounds.
