Lol. And if De La Hoya gasses against Pac I'm sure you'll be the first to acknowledge it

Hopkins gassed badly and a lot of it was because of Joe's relentless style. But I imagine being 43 didn't help matters much.

Yeah it was obvious he gassed and Calzaghe's constant pressure didn't exactly help. He's still in excellent condition however for a man of 43 years of age.

Even if he did or not and he still made Calzaghe look bad so he still has it

    If I had picked 4 - 6 - 9 - 13 - 35 - 36 - 46 on my lottery ticket last week instead of 5 - 12 - 20 - 26 - 30 - 47 - 49 i`d be a millionaire. :hi:

no he wasn't gas against taylor, taylor was the tired one plus bernard wasn't gas against calzaghe he is stuck in a defensive minded mood at the stage of his career and just being a sit in the pocket counter puncher he wasn't tired in 2 taylor fights and the tarver fight, and his fight with wright who now also throws alot of punches.

it would be a lot to ask for a 43 year old guy to box 12 fast paced rounds it aint gonna happen so the answer has to be yes!!!!

    It does defy logic.

However, you have to realise that Calzaghe's fans are always entertaining all sort of preposterous notions in order to make his wins less ordinary than they were.

Yes he was, after round 8 he was just visibly tired and it showed. Calzaghe won that fight by taking those rounds. He style may not have effective in the sense that he was scoring with power shots, but he made Hopkins fight at his pace and fight his fight essentially. Hopkins had never fought anyone like that and after 8 rounds he was dragging himself.

Hopkins hadnt fought at that tempo at all in years actually. He was always able to force his opponent into fighting his fight at his rythm. Such was not the case against Calzaghe
