That's because Gatti was accused of not having even made the weight. The commissioner supposedly said "141" and let Gatti go, with Gamache's team screaming that the scale was tipping and he was over 141, and then Gatti went and drank water right away.

Pacquiao unofficially weighed 145 on fight night, and Marquez 141.

It goes to a show that a completely drained Pac still goes about even with the top dogs.

So now we've been seeing a much healthier Pac not killing his body to make weight.

The only reason they say he stayed so long was to try and cleanup the division and the Marquez fight was gonna be the last on win or lose.

You guys don't remember how pale and gaunt Pac was looking at his last few fights at 130.

Proberly. He has been draining himself for years. Hence why i started a thread stating size will be no factor.

he'll probably weigh in something like 144 and come in at 148.

Or if they decided to fight at 147, imagine Pac maintaining his weight with ease.

Pac would come probably at 148 or 149 at the most.

Imagine maintaining his speed and power.

yeah jmm was 141 that night so there wasn't really a size advantage on pac's part. if we look on the other side of the coin, pac really was weight drained trying to make 130 for the last time and winning a close one over jmm should prove how great he overcome that problem including the jmm's style's advantage.

He was having problems in Barrera II, Roach admitted that. Just look how Manny ballooned up in Morales III. He only stayed in 130 to get Marquez belt.

Then when they moved up Freddie noticed that he(Pac) didn't lose his speed.

Then they pushed to the limit of 147, and still Pac didn't lose anything rather IMPROVED more.

At 140, He got all his arsenals back including his new ones.

the barrera rematch, he started to have problem getting to 130 without being drained. no problem if you think marquez beat him but it was a close fight where the kd was a huge factor.

Didn't Roach and Arum have to fly to the Phillipines personally to get Pac to actually train for that fight as he was constantly partying or was it Barrera II?

Barrera II. Coz those damn commercials and a pinoy TV channel was ruining his boxing career. Which all pinoy boxing fights hates. Heck most of the newspaper writers told him to stay away from showbiz and continue boxing.
