The referee's paramount job is the safety of the two fighters not to watch the clock . Your transparent attempt to muddy the waters is a dismal failure.
Twenty one posters answered my question, 21 of them agreed with me and disagreed with you!

Hi Mcvey! Ever heard the stories of some of the posters on here who worked with the likes of Kirk Johnson and Ike back in the 90's, and has told tales of how they and other fighters would go at in sparring?

Johnson was supposedly quite the gym fighter, having Ike "under control" in sparring much of the time.

Johnson somewhat reminds me of a modern Michael Dokes... Surprisingly fast hands for a skilled heavyweight operator. His knockouts of Maskaev and Savarese were both brutal and memorable.

I heard people say Byrd was schooling Ike before he was caught with a lucky shot. There's all sorts of myths surroundings this fight.

imo Byrd looked out of his depth after the first round and got stopped by the ref at just the right time

Dude you really have a problem. It's as if you purposefully make the logical fallacy "argumentum ad populum". Please get help.

Do you even read what I was responding to? He said, "Byrd werent surviving much longer" so I pointed out that there was only one second left in the round. I didn't say "The referee knew there was only one second left and he still stopped it!!!"

Can you point out where I said it was? You said that "Byrd weren't surviving much longer" so I said that there was only one second left.

Where did I say that? Where? See you, like the others, can't point that out at all. Instead you completely ignore what I was responding to.

You made a point of the one second, simple. You can't go back on it now

I don't have any problems, Ive asked the forum to give their opinions on you saying it was a gift stoppage for Ibeabuchi and, [its now 22] its unanimous, 22 out of 22 thought the stoppage was correct.

You're on your own but you will be used to that, its the same as the
"Preying Mantis," thread where absolutely no one agreed with you then either!

Your response to being made to look a **** yet again is to call me a senile old fool.
Well for your information, this senile old fool just humiliated you again!

Getting old isn't as bad as everyone says it is, is it Mcvey? My much loved grandmother never had a single good thing to say about being old so I think I'm developing some kind of phobia...

Man! It's a real shame for Byrd that rounds of professional boxing aren't timed at 178.5 seconds long.
