You do know he was just, "playing possum," don't you?

He was so into playing the part that he continued to do so in the post-fight interview. Pretending to have no memory of what had just happened was the icing on the cake - albeit superfluous.

    These method actors, eh?

Its amusing that one poster states it was a gift stoppage yet Byrd in two interviews a couple of years later, makes no mention of it being so ,in fact he gives Ike credit for the win .
Then again this is the same poster who complained my referring to Bob Foster as a "Preying Mantis" was disrespectful despite the fact that he was commonly referred to as such by such writers as Bob Waters,Jack Fiske, promoter Don Chargin ,and, in a UK interview his own manager Lou Viscusi!
What tickled me is this posters user-name is "Dago Wop."
Now one of the guys I drink with on a Sunday is a retired teacher from Venice,,and I'm pretty sure ,mild mannered though he is ,he would be offended to be referred to as a Wop.I also have a mate in Seville, using the term Dago around him would result in his fist colliding with your nose. Some people have some very strange ideas!

As a matter of interest, was any reasoning given by Mr. DW, as to why “Preying Mantis” was a disrespectful term?

Marlon Starling was a way more convincing actor when Larry Merchent was grilling him in his own Oscar winning acting performance. He acted with true conviction, I think he almost even had Merchent convinced.

Well, it’s interesting, because the praying mantis is associated with a system of Kung Fu of which there are several styles. I recall being told it was an aggressive form and, of the couple of practitioners I have known, I doubt either would have been insulted by being referred to as one.

Not saying this was the reason for applying the term to Foster, but it is by no means an insult to be compared to a bad ass of the animal kingdom.

I was shocked that the mods allowed him to use that screen name, given how patently offensive it seems, tbh.

that was a bomb that did the initial damage and he went down hard

i thought his body language was poor but KD 2 looked like a slip

Ike only landed 1 or 2 real hardshots after the first knockdown as byrd appeared to slip or dodge everything else so in that regard i thought he could have let it go

    hardly a robbery though

I thought it was supremely ironic that ,given it's his chosen name he took offence at me referring to Foster as a" Praying Mantis",something he was called throughout his career.

You aren't making any sense here whatsoever. The man literally said Byrd wouldn't have lasted much longer and I pointed out there was a second left.

You have no argument, you know you're wrong. Stop wasting both of our time this is really annoying.

Yes you do have a problem. You're parading around as if the more people that agree with you the more right you are. That's a logical fallacy. You have bad logic simple as that.

Jesus, you make the same fallacy twice in the same post!

I haven't been made to look like a "****" (whatever that is) anywhere. I've routinely pointed out the gaping hole in your logic and every time you revert back to the same old "well 22 out of 22 people on the internet agree with me". Yeah nobody gives a damn buddy lmao I'm sure if you go to the right place you can get 22 out of 22 dudes to **** you in the ass. Does that make your point anymore right? No, you're still fvcked!
