Did Jack Sharkey say he'd never lose to a black fighter?

Not if he fought Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson or Bowe he loses to them all

Sharkey said that he had a hex on black fighters because he beat Wills and Godfrey.

Louis busted that hex good.

 

Does it really matter tho? Hopkins said he’d never lose to a white fighter after all

The closest I saw him say was that he said he always seemed to have the indian sign against black fighters (which he said before fighting Joe Louis)

Why?

 

That he's stung twice. Hopkins exit from boxing, getting knocked out of the ring with a punch, falling head over heels must have been a tough one to swallow. He could not act his way out of that one.

His corner helped him get up, which is agains the rules. The difference here is Hopkins loss to to a mostly no name opponent. Hopkins says it was a BS stoppage. You be the judge.
