Did Jack Sharkey say he'd never lose to a black fighter?

Just because you don’t doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone else. You really think people won’t give a white racist more crap than they would a black one

Yeah you can even see it today. A sniper associated with BLM murdered was it 4 or 5 cops just in 2016 with BLM cheering it on and the MSM threw it down the memory hole and dare not mention it, but they bring up Charlottesville unite the right rally every time they get the chance.

If you know anything about cultural marxism, victim groups can do no wrong, no matter what. Somehow, they are always justified in whatever they do. While oppressor groups are always wrong and always the cause of misbehavior by oppressed groups.

We can even roll this out to the sexes. Women are the victim group, while men are the oppressor group. So it's said that men cannot be victims of sexism. So for instance, it's considered funny and ok if a woman makes a joke about castrating a man or kicking him in the balls. And it's not generally considered socially inappropriate. But if a man makes a joke about female genital mutilation or a joke about a girl being raped, that's always considered taboo and off limits.

Sorry for the rant, cultural marxism is my hobby horse.

I don't think you would like very many white people who were alive in the 1920s. I think Sharkey had a relatively mild case of racism compared to others. While Dempsey and Tunney were avoiding fights with black fighters, Sharkey was taking on the leading black heavyweights of the era -- Wills and Godfrey. Moving forward to the 1950s, Sharkey refereed both Moore-Durelle fights. I have read that Moore was forever grateful that Sharkey did not stop the first fight after Durelle knocked him down three times in the first round and gave him a chance to save his title. That is why he and Kearns were comfortable when Sharkey agreed to referee the second fight. On a scale of racists in boxing, Sharkey ranks nowhere near the top, IMO. If you judge Sharkey by his actions rather than cherry-picking a few words, he comes out as a decent, if an impulsive and outspoken, fellow.

I don't think Sharkey's Indian sign comment was nearly as bad as Hopkins. He really didn't say much more than that he's done well against black fighters in the past.

Society does not accept racists and X convicts, unless they are eery good at something such as sports, music or acting. There is a double standard on who can say what.

Hopkins is a racists. As a boxing analyst, he good with the technical stuff. I tolerate him there.

Cultural Marxism, a fake term applied to a far right conspiracy theory. No thanks. Morons who subscribe to this are racists trying to the cloth themselves in pseudo intellectualism. And its telling that my first response saying this was deleted by a mod without explanation.
