it seems to me that everyone from 1980 to 1993, that got beat good by JCC were never ever the same again.

i dont think that frankie randall was as good after his two fights with a past it jcc

I know that he never ruined your boy Pea but JCC was past it then and fighting above his natural weights class

You could say the same about Pea, though he was closer to his best than Chavez and fought better at the weight. However, there was no real size difference between the two and Chavez weighed in at 142, so I don't buy that the weight effected him.

He ruined Rosario, Taylor, and did serious damage to Camacho and Mayweather. I don't think he ruined Ramirez, and while his beating of Haugen was arguably the worst I've ever seen, Haugen was pretty much done by then anyway, he had been outclassed by the best fighter of his era right before getting beaten to a pulp by the 2nd best. Chavez was the kind of guy that when he beat you, he literally BEAT you. I'm pretty sure he messed up all of the fighters he fought that were a level below the others I mentioned as well.

what about that martinez who JCC fought for his first title in 1984. he was highly touted for greatness and favoured to beat JCC

you are right there. your boy was not a big welter. i just meant that JCC ability was in decline when they met. but JCC was still very good. could of cleaned up todays light welterweight division
