I think many fans are so emotionally vested in this rivalry in some way that it clouds their ability to look at the last fight objectively. And it's easy to get lost in the sauce because of how definitive the ending was. But we as boxing fans all know this kind of ending is what makes boxing so unique. .....one minute you are bloodied, bruised and broken.....then within a split second you find the world flips upside down and with one punch the fight is over. What it took for JMM to persevere and find the counter through a hail of fire speaks to just how great he is, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking the fight was going exactly the way Juan wanted. He had to show grit, determination and resolve to change the tide of that 4th fight and to be honest.......it made the fight 10 times better because of how dramatic it was.
