I remember Joe Frazier watching one of Roberto Duran's fights from ringside, Frazier commented that Duran Scared Him, He Reminded Me Of Charles Manson. This bout was after Duran became the WBA Lightweight Champion after defeating Ken Buchanan by TKO 13 on June 26 1972.

I don't know if he attended any fights as just a fan. He ran a gym and trained fighters. He was in the corner for his son's fights.

He certainly attended Marvis Frazier's fight with Mike Tyson, because he was photographed in the ring with Marvis.

In any event, it is common practice among active champions, to give free fight tickets to the legends of the past.

I am sure that Joe received a few over the years.

He was introduced at Creed-Balboa I and I think shook hands with both guys in the ring before introductions.

For all intents and purposes of the question, Joe was retired as at the Brawl In Montreal but he did make that ill advised comeback against Jumbo Cummings the following year - a fight that I’m guessing wasn’t yet signed as at June 1980, when the first Leonard v Duran went down.

I think he was at the Foreman/Holyfield fight. He was standing there when those 3 girl performers sang the national anthem, which I think ti was Foreman/Holyfield. What was the name of that group?

He was acknowledged and shouted out and wished good luck to the fighters before Larry Holmes vs. Ray Mercer in 1992. He was in the ring and looked to be fairly sturdy. Utmost respect to Smokin' Joe. I'm sure he was at some other ones but I was just watching this fight and remember it. Also Mercer was a 4:1 favorite here so wow, how's that for Larry Longevity. Didn't see that ThatOne also saw this. My bad lol but great call ThatOne

I saw him at a Boom-Boom Mancini fight at the Garden in September, 1983. One of his sons was fighting on an undercard bout and Joe was working his corner. He was shouting instructions to his son, and you could hear his voice reverberate through the arena.
