I'm guessing yes as Frazier won the Olympics in 64, turn pro shortly after and Liston was still fighting in 1969.

Liston wanted all the money for the Quarry fight, with Jerry getting peanuts. Old man Quarry saw there was no money there. You know, boxing is a business. Leotis Martin went on to lay out Liston, Quarry would have beaten the **** out of "past his prime" Liston.

I believe they did meet, Frazier met a man that was supposed to be Sonny's son. When Joe shook his hand and saw how big his fist was he reportedly said,, "yep, that's Sonny's."

Joe Frazier took a photo standing next to champion Muhammad Ali in 1965.

I think they both attended Rocky Marciano's funeral.

In the book "Hard Luck" there is a picture of Quarry shaking Liston's hand following a Quarry bout, with Liston being at ringside. Upon seeing the picture my first thought was "LOOK AT THE SIZE OF LISTON"S HANDS!", as they seemed to hands of a giant. Incredibly massive.

In the lobby of Baylor hospital in downtown Dallas, there is a display of bronze cast of famous peoples hands. Andre "The Giant" has the largest, flowed by Foreman. I wish Liston's were there, as I think they were larger than Foreman's. Just my guess.

Looking at the bronze cast of Foreman's hands I keep thinking what it would be like being hit with those massive hands wearing 8 oz. gloves as they did back in the day.

Years ago at a local boxing card there were imprints of fighters fists on display, Ali's, Ray Leonard's , Marciano and others but two stood out, George Foreman's and Sonny Liston's. The looked like riding mower batteries
