Is Sharkey the unluckiest man of all times, getting beat by Dempsey and Louis with low blows?
Or does he, as some say, carry his shorts a bit high?

    Let the discussions begin!

At the beltline. The BELT on boxing trunks is wide. Not like the belt used to hold up pants.

Sharkey wasn't exactly guilt- less in this department himself. Phil Scott Max Schmeling?

What goes around, comes around. Didnt see the Scott fite but that left hook to Schmeling's boys, was something. It hurt looking at it.

Most of the glove was below the belt line, and those old metal cups were prone to slide.

Not that Louis needed a low blow to finish off this version of Jack Sharkey.

Scott, what a great actor. Sharkey was a complete novice when claiming a low blow.. Scott had it down, the walk the pained expression, the falling down, grabbing the referee was genius lol.
Out of all those fights, the Dempsey, Schmeling, Louis and Scott, the best shot was delivered by Sharkey.
    Mc thanks for posting.

The idea is the punch was very near the belt line. Assuming everyone here are men you should know near the beltline is no where near the balls.

This left hook to the body as well as the three right uppercuts Dempsey hit Sharkey with just prior to the ko blow were no where near anyone's testicals.
