Read on a certain boxing site (where the time runs out), an article from Thomas Hauser about his manager and promoter being brothers and ripping him off. Anyone read this article? Anyone know Duddy personally? It pissed me off because he had a good shot to win a title against Verno Phillips and his managment screwed him.
What is Duddy's role in all this? Just an innocent guy who is screwed by everyone when he has chances to fight Phillips, Ronald Hearns or even Pavlik? Duddy is controlled by everyone and does not have a mind of his own? Poor guy.
You might get better answers to this in the Irish thread. Some of the guys there are very knowledgeable and don't venture outside it much because they keep it pretty clean and on target and don't care to get involved in the crap that goes on here.
Gee, I hope this kid doesn't have to go thru what Mike Rossman did back in the late 70s - early 80s. His stepdad really put the screws to him.
