In the 4th round he staggered him but Ruiz didnt press at all the whole fight was this a result of Roy Hurting him in the 1st round?

If anyone was hurt in the 1st rd it was Roy who was cracked with a tasty flush punch - but responded well and fired back. Then Roy staggered Ruiz in the 4th rd breaking Ruiz nose in the process. Ruiz didnt push the fight cos Roy Jones is a master of neutralising aggression. He has done it to every fighter he has faced. He is a master covering up on them ropes.

I don't think he hurt him, but suprised him. I don't think the Ruiz Camp expected Jones to come at Ruiz at any times during the fight; but Jones did just that.

In the 9th or 10th, Ruiz had his best round of the fight. He got up close to Roy, push him and cornered him back to the ropes, not allowing him to use his normal speed. But, the next round, it was back to RJJ out-boxing him to an eventual UD

He stunned him with a right hand counter that Ruiz never saw coming. Maybe he was hurt a bit, but not close to going down although he did wobble momentarily.

I think he sure stunned him for a moment with a lightning 1-2 (especially the right ) . Right after the punch Foreman goes WOOOOOOOOOOOAAAHHH and they all say that Ruiz was stunned for a moment. The punch sure made a lot of noise.

Yeah Jones hurt him a few times, but no one has put more of hurting on him than this guy:

There is no doubt that Roy hurt Ruiz with that right hand at the end of the 4th. he wobbled him pretty good.

The right hand in the 4th was a little high, but it was still a good shot that stunned Ruiz for sure. If he landed it a little bit lower I feel he might have got a knockdown.

What's the difference between stunned and hurt? I mean when you're stunned, you are out of it for a second or so but as long as more shots don't come, you recover right? What is hurt then? The effects are longer lasting where even if more shots don't come, you need more time to get the cob webs out? If so, Ruiz was just stunned.

Or if the bell hadn't rang and he could have landed a follow up combo.
