Did Joseph Parker's reputation go up or down last night?

I think Parker and team learn so much from this.

They will address those concerns in the coming year, I believe.

Every heavyweight is a KO waiting to happen. Takam is one of the most potent heavyweights and couldn't, so he's not exactly the most vulnerable of them.

 

my own assesment based on what i have seen pre takam and after takam are that his offensive abilties v all top ten fighters are very good.

his punches / especially when he relaxes into a fight are sharp /fast /flowing/powerfull /and well mixed up.

what we had not seen before is how he reacts to adversity.

his lack of any defense after he has fired off his shots is something i did not know about pre takam and is a huge flaw which needs to be remedied against any type of puncher.

i still think his power is very good / just takam is one of the few fighters that could take it.

imo if he leaves his chin so open v a haye/wilder/povetkin/joshua when he comes out of the pocket he will get ko`d.

takam is a good gatekeeper / he is durable/decent in most things/ /limited outside fighter / arm puncher only.

in this fight takam also showed at 35 his punch output has halved.

but parker won clearly / all young fighters have tough learning fights and move on and get better / this was parkers.

 

Parker is a bum. He has looked terribly easy to hit. He's a bum, and you know it.

 

He wings his shots, he gets tired, and he isn't a big puncher.

 

Wilders defense is super shaky... His defense is HORRIBLE. Look at how he drops his hands while moving straight back. Was also caught by a Molina left hook atsch

Saying Parker isn't a puncher just goes to show how biased you are. The kid can clearly crack. Has some of the fastest hands in the division, excellent combination punching.. Sometimes he can wing punches a bit, but at the end of that he's definitely got better mechanics than Wilder. There's a reason he earned the 'Windmill' moniker on forums.

Parker has no power, his defense is suspect, he gets tired in fights and I don't think that he can take a good body shot. He's an up and coming fighter, so it's still a wait and see thing. Never actually seen your posts before, but it's coming across like your troll vs KSAB ratio is something special. It's people like you that raise people like Parker's stocks, the more posts like the one you come up the clearer there are fanbois for other fighters who feel challenged about their progress and want to make it go away.

It's not going away. The light at the end of the tunnel is a Parker, and he's coming this way - building momentum as he goes.
