Walked down, punished, and KO'd by a fat dude in an ultra-hyped American debut on the biggest boxing stage possible (MSG).

it has to be pretty embarrassing for Joshua and Hearn that's for sure. To come back from this humiliation is going to be a massive undertaking, you have to wonder if AJ has it in him really. Even winning the rematch is a big question, Ruiz has a massive advantage having that beating over him. One things for sure, if AJ does manage it he is as great as the hype suggested. but this isn't fairy land....

Has to be the worst ever, I mean think about it... really reflect.on the entire night and everything that lead up to it.... the past 5 years.... the back and forths with Finkel, Haymon...Fury

    The global brand

    The face of boxing

A physique chiseled by Zeus himself

The arena sellouts... narratives... entrances...AJ's confidence and arrogance in his level.

The plan to break america being the biggest market

And then look at Ruiz... soft spoken... morbidly obese... always smiling...

And then the manner of defeat.

You couldn't make this **** up... it is beyond comical and beyond a huge upset.

Easily the biggest upset ever just on you're post and the premise that's its not shows how gullible the average fan still is.

You get posters like @Rockradar who refuse to believe it and tells me hes watched the Tyson fight live as it makes it relevant ? He didn't even know Tyson was knocked down in sparring prior to Douglas and wants to debate with me on it ? SMH

It's subjective as to which is the biggest upset ever. For me, it was Douglas-Tyson. For you, it was Ruiz-Joshua. Capiche? thats all it is really LOL

Easily the most embarrassing U.S debut in boxing history considering all the big talk about conquering America prior.

It doesn't really matter what weight someone is .

SOME Hardest hitters to ever lace them up have been some VERY heavy guys .

Butterbean comes to mind he never could go past 4 except 50 yr old Holmes)

Tubbs used to out box Bowe all the time and gave him a competitive fight ,though he wasn't a power puncher .

Theres also a guy named Samson Pa'Hua who would have defeated Golota had he not got bit in the neck.

Old foreman was also 260 plus at one point and nearly defeated Briggs.

I still wouldn't advice Ruiz coming in at over 255 next time.
Hes not going to have the same fight and the extra weight will hinder him .

Another short HW at 287 Samson vs Golota

All it takes is one solid performance.
