Lucky shot? You mean the punch he was landing repeatedly in all 4 fights

The funny thing is, outside of rd 1 of the 1st fight.. the most JMM struggled was in the 4th up until the KO. I thought JMM schooled Manny for almost all of 35 rounds in the 1st 3 fights.

1. Was a fantastic display of power and Pac clearly won 10-6, For Marquez to make it to the second round was a huge display of toughness and heart. No debate at all of who won the round tho

2. Close round, could go either way, I liked Pacs workrate tho. Marquez was still feeling him out and wasn't throwing enough punches for me yet, although he had made the right adjustments to not get KOed.

3. Marquez won this round clearly for me, he was landed the nicer counter punches and was making Pacquiao's offense less effective, his right hand counters were landing whenever Pacquiao moved and his jab was controlling at range

4. Similar situation as 3, except Marquez when throwing was winning he just wasn't throwing as much. Pacquiao won this round for me based on the fact he threw and landed more punches, another close round tho.

5. Marquez won this round clearly again same was as he won the third, not only was he outboxing Pacquiao he also had him hurt, Pacs rally back was not enough to win the round imo.

6. Again Marquez's counter punches and jab were winning the rounds, not to mention Pacquiao making some weird mistakes with his feet, like lunging to the side just to bounce of the ropes and do nothing.

7. Pacquiao really picked up some pace here and was throwing with a high intensity, Marquez was doing well but I think Pacs workrate and speed clearly nicked this one

8. Same again, Pacquiao was flurrying and it was working better than Marquez's stuff, Pacquiao's offense was better than Marquez's and it won him the round imo.

9. Same case as the last two, but closer I think Marquez was retiming Pac and was starting to make the rounds closer, could probably go both ways.

10. Very close round, had it a draw as both guys could were doing as well as eachother in my eyes. Could definitely go either way.
I also do not like giving tie rounds but I feel like neither guy edged this one so I split it even

11. It's all Marquez down the last stretch, he had Pac re figured out and was doing the same work that made him successful in the first half, he clearly won this round.

12. And this one. Pacquiao was too agressive for his own good in this fight and lost rounds to the better counter punches because of it. Had he been more measured and careful he would've lost more due to not throwing as much, had he thrown more he may have been caught cold and KOed
Really bad style for him.

Although I think Marquez clearly proved himself the better boxer and won more rounds, I don't think he won as many as he needed to to pull back Pacs lead from the first round.

Seems a fair assessment, I'll try and revisit the 4th and 7th-9th and see which of those still hold up as JMM rounds in my view. Been a while.
