The only thing that went through Brook's mind that night was the echoing sound of Golovkin's fist.

By the way, Kell still has not sparred again with face contact nearly 4 months after that fight. The damage was worse than we expected or has not healed well enough or Kell is afraid to go full blast in sparring anymore.

 

Brook did what he could. Ggg was lifting the poor guy off the ground with his body punches, Ggg could of ended much earlier. You could tell he let Brook off the hook. No jab needed in this fight because it wasn't needed , Ggg just walked all over him. But Brook went out on his shield, not worth losing his eye in order to take excessive punishment for the public's favor. He'd done enough. Had the walnuts to face Ggg when no one else had them.

 

It is a complete disrespect to not only Kell Brook, but boxing itself to try to claim that he threw that fight. You should be ashamed of yourself for this thread. A man got his eye socket broken and has a chance of having his boxing career ruined as a direct result of this fight.

 

Brook did not quit his towel threw the towel in he was still fighting on his feet?

To be fair when they threw in the towel he was taking the beating of a lifetime, the ref would have jumped in soon

 

I don't think the ref would have stopped it. He took a long time to acknowledge the towel and called the knockdown in the 3rd round a slip. I don't have any confidence whatsoever in that guy at all and I don't think he had any concern at all for Brook's safety.

 

I think the fix was in and everyone was in on it except for kell lol

The judges had him up, the commentators were pretending it was dead close and the ref wasn't stopping the fight for love nor money

Only problem was poor brook was taken a mother and father of a beating from some Kazakh fella and he's face couldn't take anymore of it lol

Kell's vision was going, he was getting dismantled, and the corner wisely threw the towel. You'd have battled on like the TRUE warrior you are though, you're massive! I wish elite boxers could be more like you, you're really amazing.

He has a point though , you see an x ray machine at every boxing event you go to , so they can diagnose this type of stuff? Why was there none there?

Countless boxing matches have been stopped for an hour or two so they can diagnose a facture lol
