According to IsaL's theory he should have "cashed out" in round one, then. Brook is a real dumbass for not sticking to the cash-out plan that IsaL worked out for him

People should check out the Bob Sapp / Cro Cop fight to see how debilitating an orbital bone fracture can be. It can turn a 350lb mountain of muscle instantly into a 350lb baby. Injuries are not all the same. I think Brook was pretty hardass to go another three rounds with the hardest 160 puncher on the planet with a broken face. Can't believe he's getting flack for this.

Isal believes Liam Smith would be 3G's best opponent to date. That should tell you enough about ASOL.

Orbital bone fractures are a common boxing injury. Perhaps I'm better schooled in boxing than you are, but I've seen countless fighters with the same type of injury only in much worse condition fight until the last round or fight until the ref or doctor says stop.

Look, I'm not knocking on Brook for putting his health first, hell I don't know what I would do, then again I'm not prize fighter, but I know too many fighters who have had worse physical orbital injuries and fought until the end.

    Why exaggerate what really happened?

Brook got his face fractured like many fighters have, but unlike the fighters I mentioned who had worse injuries and fought until the end, Brook quit. So if anyone deserves praise for fighting with that kind of injury, its those who did not quit.

You don't get it. Not all fractures are the same. And since you act like you know it all, you'll never actually take the time to actually research anything.

Hence why after being here for over a decade, you still haven't grown one bit as a fan of boxing. You're essentially just a fan of a few popular Mexican fighters. f*ckin *****....

He's not getting flack, there is just balance needed. Is Brook brave, sure, every boxer is. Did Brook do something extraordinary by fighting until the 5th round, absolutely not.

    Brook's face:

I also gave him 2 rounds....still he put up a relatively competitive fight, a career breed 160LB Kell would have been more interesting. I don't co-sign those posters who think Kell "hurt" GGG but he certainly stopped him in his tracks and made triple second guess his overall approach.

    falk? So lame...

Your facts are irrelevant in regards to Brook's injury. Only a dumb c*nt thinks they are all the same, or that another's injury dictates how severe Brook's injury was.

"they are all the same..." - ASSOL....

Isal, there are a few things wrong with your post, as usual. And when its multiple things like this, they combine to make the points you are trying to make pointless in one area and flat out wrong in other the other area. As usual.

    - you continue (and continue, and continue) to not comprehend *contexts*. And how that dimension applies to, and influences, decisions, situations, and scenarios.

For example.... if a 140 moved up to fight Malignaggi, and suffered an injury.... he will have a different set of scenarios in front of him to weigh, which will affect his decision to continue, against Malignaggi, than if that same 140lber had moved up to fight Canelo, and if suffered that same injury vs Canelo, it becomes a different situation to weigh. Now, why are those situations different? Because of the 'contexts' in which those injuries were suffered.

So, Fernando Vargas not being able to see against Mosley, yet still choosing to continue, is a completely different scenario than Brook not being able to see properly against a guy like Golovkin. In a fluid, relative, and situational dictating sport like boxing, things should rarely be judged universally.

Given your past lack of comprehending contextual decisions and why they matter, I don't really expect you to understand that, and I am certain you will double down on your flawed logic, but figured Id say it anyways as to why Brook deciding to not continue against Golovkin is not the same as if he would have decided to not continue vs a fellow welterweight. And why you should rarely try to compare quitting like that between fights that * are against different fighters * different dangers to weigh * different severity of injuries and * varying momentums happening during the fight in which decisions are made.

    - Vargas would die in the ring before he quit..... Brook wouldn't.... so what?

This isn't a pass or fail grade for me Isal. Meaning, I can hold Vargas and Morales (then again, Morales quit in a fight didn't he.... in fact he quit in a fight where he wasn't injured, and it hadn't even reached round 4. Now, as you begin to type on all the excuses you are about to name for why he did that but should still be considered a warrior, stop for a second and realize you are about to use -contexts- for your reasoning. Let that sink in, and understand it)

Back to the point, I can still absolutely revere Vargas's heart, Morales's heart, Margaritos heart, Gatti's heart, ect.... while still giving Brook props and respect for his performance.

That's what it comes down to Isal. That I can recognize all the warriors out there that are probably LEAGUES in front Brook in terms of 'heart', and while I can and will give them their due level of admiration, I can STILL say I respect and salute Brook for - fighting G in the first place - continue to man up to G even after getting wobbled in round 1 - still try to man up to G after having his face broken in round 2 - went on for a couple more rounds against a guy he shouldn't even be in the ring with, and finally be understanding and yet still applaud when after a round in which he got completely dominated, with the next round looking even worse for him, he chose the right point in the fight to concede defeat.

That you don't want to do that is fine..... that you don't want to applaud his effort against the opponent he had in front of him? Cool... that's your prerogative, its agenda ridden and bias as hell probably, but whatever. But that you feel so strongly that he shouldn't receive respect for his performance from others that you actually speak out and try to counter people that do want to give him props? I don't get that. (well, I do, because I know why you are doing it)

    On a side note Isal
    * In what fight did Oscar have an orbital fracture and yet fought to the end in? Not saying he didn't but since I don't know that one figured Id gain some knowledge on that. Cant think of what fight it would be, Mosley 2?

Oscar suffered a slight hairline fracture in the Forbes fight. Now we're comparing brook facing a bigger, stronger 3G who fractured his orbital bone, with Oscar's hairline suffered at the hands of Stevie 'Hands of Bone' Forbes.

That's the type of comparison Isal thinks is legitimate.

You act like your opinion is the only opinion that matters Kirk. You are wrong. While I realize that my opinion is mine and mine only, I use real life scenarios and examples to make my point. You and some of the GGGoons use fantasy fights and match ups to get your point across.

It's just not Fernando buddy, its many fighters who have continued fighting with injuries. Why in the world is it so hard for you (I understand why the GGGoons blow Brook up) to accept that Brook and his team did what was BEST for Brook? Do you HONESTLY believe that they approached this fight like any other fight? You don't think they had a plan if the bigger GGG started putting the hurt?? They realized there was no point in continuing fighting GGG and risk even worse injury. They had the money, Brook was not going to win, and Brook was betching about his eye.

    1. They were NEVER expected to win.
    2. They were expected to lose by KO.
    3. It was nothing more than a cash grab.

Brook's team did what was best for Brook.

No shame in quitting if you're afraid for you HEALTH. I've already stated that. But to fluff up Brook for taking his biggest payday by far against a bigger opponent and then bailing out when its going to get even rougher?? You don't sound like someone who appreciated Fernando Vargas and what he brought to the sport. My main point is that Brook did QUIT. Nothing less nothing more. You've already admitted he quit based on his "dimesion", whatever you meant by that.

I don't think anyone has praised a SHOT Morales for moving up in weight and fighting Garcia as much as Brook is getting praise by you and the GGGoons for moving up and quitting against Golovkin.

Morales was shot. Brook is in his prime.

YES! Of course! I give Brook major credit for rounds 1-4. He did very well considering his limitations. But I can also give credit without trying to fluff up his fight with Ggg. Did Brook quit?? The answer is YES. He stopped fighting in rd 5, his corner saw that as a sign, and threw the towel to save Brook from further punishment. Once the first bell rang he earned his 5 million dollar check plus whatever PPV from Sky. Once he felt the pain in rd 5, he decided to stop TRYING and jumped ship.

I respect and Salute Khan's performance more than I do Brook.

Khan did not quit, he fought until the bitter end.
Khan was not even a career WW like Brook, he moved up in weight to WW, and then moved up to MW.

With that said, I respect Brook's attempt to win for the first 4 rounds, but I acknowledge that he quit in rd 5. Again, no shame in quitting if his HEALTH comes first.

Oscar has an orbital bone fracture against Forbes. He also had a torn rotator cuff against Mayorga, he also fought roided to the gills Vargas and Mosley. That is bravery.
