Its not just my opinion Isal lmao. That's just it. You are constantly and consistently, viewed by practically everyone, as being irrational and out of touch with the reality of what you are trying to speak on. The Lemieux Kirkland thread is a great example, there is not a single, I repeat, a SINGLE person, from all walks of life and with many different viewpoints, opinions, and various favorite fighters... not a SINGLE person agrees with you. Out of dozens of boxing fans. Your response to the fact that out of 30 plus hardcore boxing fans, that you are the ONLY ONE that thinks Kirkland is as good as Lemieux, isn't a rational one in that maybe, just maybe... you are being baised for a fighter you are quite obviously very attached to, no... that's not it, instead your response? "They should watch a few more Kirkland fights" lmao... And in this fight, the boxing world as a whole has almost universally praised Brooks performance. I could show you article after article of journalists, video after video of professional fighters and trainers, regardless of the countless number of fans, that applauded Brooks courage that night, with the overwhelming minority of fighters saying they think he should have continued and they weren't impressed with his courage. And then - you respond to me - to counter why I shouldn't think of Brook as courageous for his performance, and I map out to you why we don't see eye to eye on that, and your response is????? "Your opinion isn't the only one that counts" Btw... things like not taking contexts into account, which you almost never do, that's not an opinion. That is an observational fact. You almost never, never account for contexts unless it suits your agendas.
Im sorry Isal, i dont see the point in furthering the discussion. That you somehow got 'i dont sound like someone that appreciated Vargas and what he brought to the sport" (knowing damn well hes one of my all time favorites and helped me get into the sport lol) out of literally anything I posted is so twilight zone, and so typical of our back and forths, maybe it best we drop this particular subject m'man.
I'd count this as trolling and do it anyway. If this guy is serious then he prob also think Golovkin was behind the death of Princess Diana.
Holy hell Isal... forbes? Forbes? Hoya suffering a fracture against Forbes and you want to compare him to brooks situation. If that doesn't sum up the constant lack of logic, lack of context, and extreme fanboyism that is the typical isal post these days, nothing does.
Hahaha.. The ICU.. Now that's some good trolling. The man had all his senses. What a bunch of fruits some of you new boxing fans are.
IsaL I criticize GG but he can fight. And he;s doing the one thing that you have to do no matter how bad things may seem. He's winning. Brook won a round on crowd cheering but he was getting ****ed up every round and it was getting worse. I don't lie when it comes to boxers. GG was about to put him in ICU, and he was clearly hurt before the stoppage. He probably still arrived in ICU unless he was able to take the pain waiting in Emergency lol. Brook was brave but in way over his head. And i might be a boxing fan longer than you've been alive.
Oh, practically everyone? SO I take it you live in a world with nothing but GGGoons then? Who are these everyone you claim? Or is it an exaggeration on your part in an attempt to make a point? If you exaggerate that, then you will clearly exaggerate in your arguments. Not very ethical Kirk, really. Unless you can back up your claim, then you need to STFU buddy. Another made up exaggeration... The BOXING WORLD UNIVERSALLY PRAISED BROOK? LOL Drink that kool aid bro. lol I'm not sure why you're even arguing that I said he should have kept going?? I've stated to YOU multiple times that if he felt his HEALTH was being compromised than he should QUIT. I'm simply stating the FACT that other fighters have kept fighting with much worse injuries. What I don't get is this praise you and the GGGoons have for Brook for cashing out on a fight. Brook fought a lot better than what most people gave him a chance.. I get that. He won 2-4 rounds depending on who you talk too. he really didn't do anything that hasn't been done before though. And when the heat came on, he stopped fighting, yes I know, to PRESERVE his HEALTH, which is fine and dandy, but as a hardcore boxing fan, it is nothing that impresses me when I have seen fighters in much worse condition keep fighting. I did not bother with that thread you made because I don't try to win arguments by having other people agree with me. I like to use facts, logic, and what is tangible. IMO Kirkland is a better fighter than Lemieux. That is MY opinion, and you have yours. The difference is that I back up my opinion with arguments related to both fighters. I don't make a general question and have people answer. So now that you brought that topic up, and I have you here, explain WHY YOU think Lemieux is a better quality fighter than Kirkland. They both been KTFO by journeymen, they both neen KTFO by elite fighters. Lemieux has also been outboxed and outhustled by a journeyman. Kirkland CLEARLY has the better resume. He has fought and beat much better opposition than Lemieux. Lemieux's most notable WINS: Glen Tapia and Hassan N'Dam Kirkland's most notable WINS: Glen Tapia (Undefeated and at 154), Carlos Molina, Alfredo Angulo, Joel Julio. Kirkland is a faster fighter with shorter punches, and is very powerful with 32 W 28 KO, Lemieux is also powerful with 36W 32 KO. When you consider all that and how close they are in terms of their best assets, you have to base their quality on resume, and Kirkland has the better resume. Again, not a knock on Brook. No point in risking permanent injury in a fight he 1. was supposed to lose, supposed to get KO, 3. And was two divisions above his CURRENT weight class. Its true Kirk. Your opinion isn't better than my opinion simply because some GGGoons agree with you. You have to use logic and facts in your arguments bro. You have two extremes in this thread. On one extreme it says Brook threw the fight, on the other extreme says Brook fought valiantly and as proof Brook has received kudos from the practically ALL of the boxing World because he could have ended up in the ICU if he did not quit. Then here I come and say Brook gave it his all, tried his best to win, until the reality of it disappeared from his HEART in round 5 when Golovkin had his way with him. The reality was, Brook was not a MW, Brook was the underdog, brook was starting to get beat down, Brook was expected to lose by KO according to the bookies, AND Brook got paid 5 million +PPV (His biggest pay by far) just for answering the first bell. Why risk permanent injury in an exhibition/circus act of a fight. If you want to debate, come at me with tangible information, not fantasy matchups like Lemieux and Brook would be so and so and so and so, how about you show me who they have beat as I show you. In conclusion, I rate Kirkland higher than Lemieux based on ability and RESUME; I also don't give Brook all the credit youa nd the GGGoons do, because better and lesser fighters have fought with worse injuries than what Brook suffered. GGG trashed Canelo and BOXING for allowing Canelo to fight a WW at 155. Yet he turns around and fights a WW at 160. You have GGG's nuts deep in you bro.
You're ill bro. GGG is an elite fighter, unproven, but his skills are obviously A level. Brook being out in the ICU? Do you know what the ICU is? lol Funny boy.
I have Golovkins nuts deep in me, Isal? Damn man... you have really lost the plot dude. Its actually crazy reading your posts. I have Golovkins nuts deep in me? lol. Coming from you? Good lord.
Well, I think we can all agree on one thing: IsaL is a very determined poster when he gets a bee in his bonnet As an aside, I have a donkey. One day it was raining, and I was trying to get him into the stable. Not love nor money nor carrots or teff could induce that long-eared ******* to go inside, out of the rain. I practically had to carry him in. If that was IsaL I'd still be standing there with ten inches of water in my boots.
