Pavlik was fun to watch back in the day but life caught up with him. Martinez and Hopkins both clowned him but he wasn't the same at that point the drinking had diminished him.
Yep Pavlik was a smart boxer he still has a lot of knowledge I follow him on social media and he has good training tips I have used quite a few in sparring recently and they are really good.
Yes, very sad. Pavlik's peak was good, but short. He certainly could TKO or even flat KO GGG, he had some really heavy hands.
Yes. To be honest, in his prime I think Pavlik gives Golovkin all he wants. G would definitely be fighting off the backfoot in this and while he's the better overall fighter it wouldn't surprise me if Pavlik pulled the upset.
Pavlik had good power but mostly knocked people down and out due to accumulation of punches. So, I think he wouldn't KO Golovkin but had enough power to bother him. GGG wins this one. Maybe by KO.
Pav could probably stun GGG, but I don't think he could land consistently enough to drop him. Pav's was also a little chinny. He had a solid beard, but he could be dropped against big hitters like Miranda and Taylor, but I think GGG demolishes Pav within 8 rounds.
Have to disagree here, I think GGG would break him up. Pavlik could certainly bang and I think he gets underrated these days but GGG - especially in his pomp - looked like he could walk through walls whilst having a fantastic ram rod of a jab that set everything up..... he essentially stalked you, cutting off the ring before unloading heavy shots round after round.
