He was not knocked down vs Miranda.

He took 13 shots flush and stuck his tongue out at Taylor when he got KD by him.

    World class chin

If only Pav got with Garcia or Roach earlier in his career not with that Lowe guy who has no business being a trainer.

If anything Kelly was an overachiever

I will have to rewatch the fight. I remember they went bombs away in that fight.

No problem. I favour GGG but Pavlik was a beast in his prime too and it would be a good fight for sure

Pavlik was the real deal man

If he didn't go down the bottle he could have been great - fights with Martinez, Chavez, Paul Williams, were all there for the taking

I also pick GGG to win that mythical matchup. But GGG never fought a 6'2" monster like Pavlik before.

Pavlik had good power. GGG has never appeared to be hurt. Tough to say.

This is the query of the post.

Could he have.. sustained rights, let's and powerful jabs pelting him and no let up in the gas tank. ..
    Great mythical matchup.

Ironically I think Pav is still younger lol

Yes, he could definitely hurt Golovkin. I've also previously said that he was one of the only 2000+ MW's that could probably force Golovkin on the backfoot.

To the head? Maybe. To the guts? Yes. A Pavlik straight right, well timed would stop G in his tracks. The thing is, what beast will rise from the floor. Never seen what type of animal G becomes when really hurt and dropped.

Pavlik might find a home with a nice left uppercut.

You think it would have enough to drop G?

If Pavlik were able to break down GGG, he could finish him off with a left uppercut on the ropes.

I wouldn’t pick Pavlik, but I’d definitely watch. GGG never had good defense and his level of performance fell sharply once he stepped up against Jacobs, who was the first guy he fought near Pavlik’s level.
