To me it's pretty damn obvious he didn't jump out the ring on purpose.

I do agree though that he may have exaggerrated the effects of the fall, either to try and get 5 minutes recovery time or to try and secure a rematch.

i think he did jump on purpose and faked horrible pain because he felt paul williams power and wanted nothing to do with it and realized having the fight end in that manner would set him up for another big fight instead of a comeback fight in a highschool gym

Ive literally just wached the fight about 30 seconds ago, and even though it went to the judges cards i had Kermit up 2 rounds :huh

Round 1. Little in it as they both feel each other out, Kermit seems to land the more promising shots, Cintron's round

Round 2. Again a little quiet, Williams lands hardly any jabs, Cintron lands a few good right hands and jabs. Cintrons round.

Round 3. Clear Williams round as he stepped the pace up and landed well to the body, did get caught with a few shots but outlanded Cintron. Williams round.

    29-28 Cintron.

I know this has nothing to do with your thread i just felt like posting on the nerest related thread

Also to answer your question, I dont thnk he dived, BUT he definatly exagerated the effects of the fall, well it looked that way anyways.

This doesn't make sense to me as Williams was the one who was clearly wobbled and looked troubled by Cintron's athleticism and power. Cintron was dictating the pace of the fight. I think it's absurd to say Cintron jumped.

Cintron can jump out of that ****ing ring as many times as he likes...as long as he gets back in and resumes combat each and every time.

I just don't understand why everything that happens is turned into some conspiracy theory on ESB. In order to have really done this on purpose he would have had to of considered in the split second that Williams fell and he began to trip all of the ridiculous scenarios you all have had days to come up with. I do not think Cintron is the toughest fighter, I do believe he is pretty weak mentally (in comparison to other professional boxers), but it literally makes no sense to assume this was done on purpose. He was winning, this resulted in him losing and a rematch isn’t guaranteed. Yes he's paid for the short fight, but with the loss he could end up on FNF next and making a ton less money. Having a W over Williams he puts himself in position to fight and even more anticipated and lucrative rematch or for other big name high paying fights. Please stop with all the conspiracy bull****. He fell, he was winded, and advised to stay down. He didn't know staying down would result in a stoppage as fighters are normally given 5 minutes to recoup. (Against Cotto, Zab rolled around on the floor for about 2 minutes crying out in agony over a low blow but the fight wasn’t stopped.) Fight was stopped even though he said he wanted to finish. End of story. Could he have gotten up? Probably. Could he have made a smarter effort to stop himself? Probably. Do those two factors mean he was faking and bitched out of a fight he was not only in control of and had his man hurt in, but also a fight that was his biggest in a number of years? Absolutely not. Could it be at all possible he made a poor effort at stopping himself misjudges his momentum and fell? Then once on the ground and winded was influenced by everyone telling him to stay down without realizing that staying down to catch his breath would prompt an ambulance and paramedics to carry him out a stretcher? Or is that just too simple of a scenario for everyone?

I think he fell legitimently but he hit the table didnt hit the computers then he took a second and then rolled onto the floor. I think he was ok but he saw it was heating up and stayed down cause Shields said after round 2 your ahead I guess he figured I stay down I win. The Doc said Cintron quit, why would a licensed guy with nothing to gain risk his job by lying. The Doc said he quit I think he quit. The overturning cshould not be a NC but a TKO like when Rahman quit vs Toney. And of course Shields is out there saying this n that cuz he 1 does not want an L on his guys recored and 2 its partially his ass

He didnt jump as her was clearly tangled up and got tripped up, but while heading towards the ropes, he sure as hell didnt do anything to stop himself from falling out of the ring. It looked as if he aimed himself to fly out between the ropes.

He jumped! He thought he was ahead so he ended it early to get an easy win. Too bad it didn't work out for him.

As opposed to what, into the ropes??? At that speed going into the ropes could have been a lot more painful!!

He jumped thru the ropes not thinking that he would hit his head and back,if you look closely, right where he was touching his back, there was red bruising in that area,I dont think he jumped to avoid fighting, probabaly just thought he would land easily

I think he panicked to put it simply, im also convinced he wasnt sure where he was in the ring as it happened. IMO he was winning that fight i see no reason why he would jump out to injure himself.

He could have tried grabbing on to the ropes to prevent himself from falling out the ring. He made no attempt to do so. He angled his body right between the ropes and flew right out.
