Did Khan's chin benefit from training with Pacquiao for the Maidana fight?

He basically did training for the fight twice, once with Pacquiao and one closer to the fight.

Here are the pictures of him training in Philippines:

I wouldn't mind knowing what conditioning it was exactly that Ariza and Roach used to get him to the point that he could take that many shots from Maidana. :think

FYI, Khan was Pacquiao's sparring partner for the Pacquiao/Margarito fight.

  2. Yes. He probably ate some really healthy, thudding shots from Pac during sparring. The the only true way to prepare is to undergo, which I believe he did. Pac probably didn't go all out, but due to his competitive nature, I wouldn't be surprised if Pac threw with conviction.

Its not that people say a chin cant be improved, its the fact that ppl didnt want his to improive, they wanted him to be knocked out again... Brutally lol.

When people say 'you can't put muscles on your chin', maybe they mean.........a chin can’t be improved, but it can be worsened. If you drain yourself and don’t condition yourself properly, then your chin will be less durable than what it could be. With Khan, perhaps it was a case of him having an average chin (slightly below to be more accurate) all along, but when he boiled himself down to 135, it just exacerbated his punch-resistance more.

He is older now, his shape looks different too before he was thin and a gangly. He had thin legs, now he looks thicker set. Against prescott He had a body builders torso and skinny legs.

He had a curious cuban style macho way if fighting style against prescott, leaning his head in and trading in a "war".

He is also well fed, not starved. If you are starved you fall over easy. His fighting style is now not macho but technical and speed orientated.

Training with Manny mainly gives him confidence, the ability to handle speed and angles. learn from Manny's defensive stance and moves.

Plus having a **** defense and making mistakes like leaving his chin high up in the air (which makes it more vunerable). He's improved both of those

So training your neck muscle doesnt improve your punch resistance in the chin?

Khan's 'chin didn't benefit from training with Pacquiao, but he did overall benefit from him, if that makes sense.

His balance was complete ****, his upper body was way too big, his legs were sticks, and he was 3 years younger.

He's now hitting his prime years. All that bull**** about his chin was/is Glass was a load of crap.

People need to remember how young he was and different people develop at different stages so don't go comparing him with Mike Tyson or someone.

He'll go on to big things in my opinion.
