i thought the same thing. i thought clottey-pac was fixed and people thought i was crazy. dude stood there and didnt hardly throw anything. clear as day. this one looked fixed 'cause the dude put his hands down and stood there waiting for kimbo to land a big one. lol
I only hope the American olympic diving team can pull out a dive of that caliber this summer in London. Triple 10s.
the way the corner was yelling out the time left in the round also indicates to me they wanted him to make sure he went down before it was too late, i think its right after they call 15 seconds left that he flops
I can't believe that dude is a boxer. I wouldn't call it a dive, just a dude in horrible shape getting ***** slapped to a paycheck. Probably white trash
This was about on par with the Marquez vs. Likar Ramos. Blatant dive. Makes me feel completely embarrassed to be a fan of this sport. It takes 100 Castillo vs. Corales type fights to erase the stain of one blatant meaningless flop.
That was no dive. The punches landed crisply and cleanly on the chin and Green went down real hard. The labored breathing while he was out of it on the canvas looks familiar to those who have seen the real thing. First of all, look at the size difference. Kimbo is a rock solid massive monster. He's known for one thing - having a big punch. And he sure landed them hard. I know Brian Green, and believe me, he's not a big guy by any means. Green looked like a super middle next to Kimbo. I'm not sure I believe those weights given out. So to him, especially in a fatigued state, those were bombs. Also, Green is no boxer, though I was impressed at the skill he did show. Green had no amateur career, and is actually an MMA guy. I think it was his first boxing bout of any kind. It is obvious Green was giving it his all to beat Kimbo, nailing him with very hard blows, certainly not acting like a guy about to take a dive. If you want to throw a fight, you don't nail a guy you are supposed to allow win as hard as you can on the jaw as many times as Green did. It was the 4th round, so Green was tired, and probably working harder than he should have. You could also tell that Green was tired because when Kimbo did hit him on rare occasion, you could really see Green's head jolt. Finally, Green had more to win with a victory over him than a loss, and was going at Kimbo with spunk. Looking at the totality of circumstances, I say it was a legit, and once again proves the axiom, don't punch with a puncher. But the fact that Kimbo had this much trouble with a very 'green' guy in Green, a guy with no amateur or pro boxing bouts, just MMA, and needed a come from behind KO, and looked very hittable and very tired himself, tells me that Kimbo has absolutely zero potential in the sport of boxing. They will try to protect the freak show revenue by giving him stiffs, but as soon as they give him a live body, Kimbo will get brutally KO'd.
I think they needed to find a last minute replacement. Likely Kimbo was the main event so they need a low/no risk replacement in a hurry. I've seen Kimbo throw with bad intent before but not in this match. Even the video looks like it was done to try and convince people it was all legit. I'm not buying any of it myself. Watch the whole thing. Kimbo never throws a meaningful punch that has the risk of landing. Lots of arm waving and cuffing.
