You just need to look at Briggs record to see it's Lewis that ended him.
After being obliterated by Lewis, he lost his dedication & his weight spiralled out of control.

We can only hope, shouldn't have been in there in the first place.
I had Vitali down for a 3rd-4th round stoppage, I wish that's what happened.

He's going to be slurring his word and eating applesauce within a few years, I have no doubt.

It would have been better for Shannon if it did.

I don't mean it would have been better for him if he quit, I just meant it would have been better if he got stopped.

Briggs' goose is cooked on the "A" class fight circuit... BUT! Even a diminished Briggs with his great bulk and weight can still KO a bum, stiff or tomato can for more Pizza and Beer money....

I suspect Briggs will return in 2011 and KO some easy pickens on some obscure network before fully walking away from it all....

He's in intensive care... so it isn't looking good for the rest of his career. More importantly, I just that he is ok.

Exactly. If he quits on his stool, then he has no heart, if he gets KO'd, then he has a glass jaw. It is just the way things operate on here. Sadly.

Nah, everyone knew it was going to be a severe beating aslong as it lasted.
If he pulled out anytime around round after 8 no one would call him a quitter, not even the hardened Klitschko haters.

Vitali just put Briggs into intensive care, broke both eye sockets, nose, jaw, giving Briggs a concussion, etc., doctors were afraid that Briggs had bleeding on the brain! All because the referee did not stop the fight. Briggs was too brave for his own good. And the English referee? Is the an Haye fan? He did not want to stop the fight for what reason? Guess...............And now a busted ear drum?!

I hope that Briggs is OK. When I read about Briggs being in intensive care, I was very worried. British ref should be suspended.

The corner has a stronger bond with a fighter, if they're not throwing in the towel how can you suspend the ref?

You seem concerned but I can't help get the feeling if he killed Briggs you'd spend weeks masturbating over the footage.
