I was not that impressed by Crawford last night.

I don't think that performance should improve his general standing. He looked good in spots, but took some big shots from Porter.

He got exposed in some ways but still solid win. That's best win of his small career so far.

in a few years you will be saying that porter is noone who lost all his important fights. Crawford has the mayweather syndrome.

A bit of both due to the nature of the stoppage. Bud did alright but didn't dominate still requiring a signature win or two for his stock to really go upl.

Nobody dominated Porter. This fight was supposed to be a gauge. Comparatively to the rest of the top guys that Porter has faced. This was the narrative leading up to the fight. He stopped Porter, when the others did not. The fight was not stopped by the ref, the judges did not gift Crawford the win. Porter's corner papa stopped it. No blame can be placed on TC. Good, solid win, which put TC at the top of the division. Now, after the fact, people want to diminish the win, why? Haters dumped on TC for not facing top guys. He stops another top guy that never been stopped before and haters still refuse to give the man his just dues. SMH

I understand what you are saying and agree however the way it was stopped will leave a bad taste in the mouth of some fans. Your right it isn't Crawfords fault. It's Porter Snr fault because he didn't just rob his son of his last chance to win he also robbed Crawford of a decisive victory.

I feel like I watched a different fight than others. I saw Crawford just get stronger as the fight went on. To me this was the best "vs Porter" performance by a good margin.

He finally fought someone who could fight back, and did, and Crawford broke him down in a way that hasn't been done before.

It doesn't make up for the time wasted but it was the second best opponent he could face in the division and he stopped him. It's not an historic achievement or anything but it's very good.

I watched the fight again and Crawford’s performance looked more impressive the second time around. As previously stated, it’s hard to look good against Porter. He’s athletic, awkward and pretty sturdy. Crawford got the TKO against him which is something no one has been able to do. Even if it was corner stoppage.

Crawford looked a little rusty for several rounds at the beginning of the fight. Maybe a little rust from being out of the ring for so long. He seemed to get stronger as the fight progressed and was fighting well when the fight was stopped. He was never in any real trouble. Overall, probably a B+ performance against his toughest opponent.

Crawford looked pretty big in there as well. I didn’t see any info on fight day weight but he was pretty big. I hope the Spence fight happens soon. While both guys are close to prime. Both have looked less than impressive at times against Porter but I would say Crawford was more impressive because he got the KO. Many people thought Porter beat Spence (not me but it was pretty close).

Good win for Crawford but Spence is still the man at WW. His resume is just better than Crawfords.

They should fight in 2022, since Crawford left TR there shouldn't be a holdup.

Must say I mostly agree with you, I actually had Crawford up on my card, but I was expecting more I guess, the broadcast made such a big deal about how he was P4P, and up until the last couple rounds he was just skating by IMO.

Maybe a little harsh but that's my feeling.

Crawford dominated the fight from start to finish and porters dad saved shawn from a car wreck beating. I almost think shawn was supposed to give a sign when he was done and his dad would rescue him.
