Hasn't changed much, because he dominated the fight, although it took him longer to get Thompson out of there than I thought.
Same. Thought it was a good performance against a guy who was trying to survive. He broke Tony down, then got the KO. Which after the 1st round I figured would happen. Either Tony was going to come out and fight and get laid flat, or Wlad would break him down slowly and take him out late.
No, that's pretty much what I expected bar the KO. Nobody could have forseen that mental melt-down though...
Do you think it was a legitimate KO or did Thompson take a dive? It was a great punch and the more I see it, the more I think it was legit. However, when I first saw it I thought "Good shot, but he could get up". I think it was Klitschko's best punch of the night, anyway.
Thompson got hit pretty hard. The way things were with him there was no way he was going to get up whether he was KO'd or not. He basically wanted out after he fell over, never mind when he was knocked over. And there is more than one way to skin a cat. Hard punches are what cracked Thompson, not foul language, you know?
I have a little more respect, even though I expected him to win. He was in a real fight and it seemed thompson could take a good punch. I was impressed with the fact that he looked tired, but still got a late round ko and didn't panic when he couldn't seem to get Thompson out of there.
It was a matter of time until the over hand right would KO Thompson. Lennox thought it would happen a few rounds earlier, but Wlad wanted to soften Tony up more and was bit too tentative.
He met my expectations, so I am unchanged. That final right was harder than his others from what I could see... Wlad really got his weight behind that one.
Not really. He dominated a lesser opponent and still looked like the same ol' ugly, boring Wlad to me. So nothing's changed.
Not at all, Wladimir fought totally wrong against a southpaw this time around but was will winning on the cards easily and was landing the bigger/better shots though Thompson did nothing to take advantage of the MANY advantages he had but still Wladimir got the job done but proved he can be beat.
He had a lot of problems with the southpaw and his long arms. Which is surprising because he always schooled Chris Byrd (southpaw) I thought he looked sloppy and off balance. Wasnt a great performance really.
Nope; I still think he's the top man in the division at the moment. He needed to get this mandatory out of the way and did so.
