No he retired at the right time. Although it wouldve made more sense to retire after the Tyson fight. It ended up working out for him though because he beat a young future champion in Vitali Klitschko

No he didn't. Lewis didn't owe Vitali Jack $#!% It's not his fault Vitalis defense was so poor that he got his face rearranged by a fat out of shape old champion. Imagine if Lewis was focused and determined with a full training camp like how he turned up for Rahman 2. Vitali would have gotten stopped even sooner. Lewis did everything he was supposed to do and fought nearly everyone relevant in his era. He's a top 10, arguably even top 5 ATG. Vitali is lucky to make top 15-20.

Beat me LOL You guys attack Lennox for not taking a rematch with Vitali YET You same people call Floyd "A great fighter ,one of the best" yet every time he was faced with an opponent he knew he couldn't beat he "RETIRED" several times. Antonio Margarito walked up to him & politely asked " why wont you fight me" ? We all saw the embarrassed Floyd stammer & stutter Eventually completely losing control. Time to retire AGAIN!! Floyd
ROFLMAO. He did But once Antonio had been railroaded by the CSAC he came slithering back! Now That was a coward

I'm not sure Lennox beats Vitali in the rematch, so yes, he probably retired at the right time.

Vitali probably stops him in the rematch, so he retired on time. He just didn't have IT anymore.
