Did Lennox Lewis say there was no way Margerito didn't know his gloves were loaded?

There seemed an agenda last night with the commentary team, they all seemed to be going out of their way to have a pop at Margarito. At one point someone was saying that Margos cheating had forced Cintron up to 154 and that he had a wife and kids to feed....These guys are entitled to their opinion but they were laying it on a bit thick last night.

 

Obviously Cotto is fighting next week.....so you know they're going to go to every lenghth to discredit Margarito and hype up Cotto.
.....thats fine, but you would at least think that they would lay out the plain facts for all to know.....

......but to the contrary, that HBO broadcast team is going to great lenghths by refusing to lay out the facts for all to know!

I ask everyone on this thread and in this forum for that matter.....What is it exactly that was found in Margarito's wraps that he would know for certain about was illegal???

I know feelings are running high on this issue but they should have at least pointed out the investigation is still ongoing and that there are questions still to be answered.

 

Exactly, they did'nt even make a mention of it......
.....everyone who listened who does'nt know any better, came out with the impression that the investigation has been completed, and its plaster they found on Margarito's wraps.

 

9 times out of 10 when you lay out the facts in a thread like this, the contrary to the insults you point out happens.......these hating trolls just dissapear onto a thread they can spew their venom in freely!

 

lol...can't argue with that. Like Gaz said too, they were lightin' Margo's ass up....for almost the whole Cintron fight. Not only like Gaz said did they say "Cintron was Forced to 154 with wife and kids to feed" amongst other **** was how Cintron was REALLY undefeated!! And Martinez, well he admitted he lost, so it counted! I watch Margo, don't hold no serious grudge until the facts are straight, but I know any serious Margo fan had to be MAD as hell watchin' that.:rofl

In seriousness though, wouldn't you think Margo could sue thier asses off if he's proven cleared?

 

I thought Mosleys trainer inspected the wraps and what he said contradicts the above- he saw a plaster type material which flaked and he also saw blood on it

 

That was some funny **** HBO tried to pull when they brought Martinez in on it......they likely asked Martinez who was also stopped by Margarito, about Margarito's wraps hoping that he jump on the Margarito the cheat bandwagon Cintron and Cotto have been riding....

.......but they got turned back by Martinez who said that Margarito's wraps had nothing to do with him losing to him, he admitted to just not being experienced enough and Margarito just rolling him!

 

Wow, it was brutal. Lewis said it with tenacity. As far as Cintron, he better move back to WW or be prepared to get his ass kicked at 154. How the hell was that a draw. I could not stand Martinez style to begin with, but what the hell was Cintron doing and he must feel like a total ass after watching the tape. Headbutt?? I thought the whole card was trash. Angulo would have lost to Mayorga and Nate needs to retire before someone at 140 seriously hurts him. If Funeka would have just thrown the jab and boxed, he would have won the fight easy. Nate was throwing hail mary's.

The flaking part of it was disclosed to have been not true during the CSAC hearing with Margarto and Capetillo present.

What was also disclosed in that hearing was that the pad confiscated was not rock hard, but just firmer than normal.
The actual inspector that was present during the wrapping, said that Margarito openly offered to re-wrap and that he seemed unaware that something illegal could even be in his wraps.
There were'nt any signs from that inspector that Margarito was trying to hide something!

Also in those wraps was a white residue which the CSAC have admitted to it not have hardened to this day.....I could only guess that since it has'nt set and hardened, it might be talcing powder (the type used on babies bottoms, that they applied to Margarito's hands

That my friend are the facts.....we still have to wait for the CSAC lab results to confirm exactly what was in the content of those wraps.

All we can do is wait and stay tuned!

 

Your right, we can just wait or keep attacking him and his trainer. Whatever it was was enough to suspend both. It really does not matter if we wait or not, it was illegal for whatever he used or all of this drama would not be happening. You have a hall of famer with attitude and anger saying he should have known what was in his wrapping. I really don't know what is taking so long for an answer.

 

Unfortunately most folks are like Lennox Lewis, still making jabs at the assumption that it was plaster in those wraps, when in fact every indication from the CSAC points to it not being anything even remotely close to a plaster substance.

I believe Lennox Lewis actually said that they found plaster in Margarito's wraps, when that just is'nt the case.
