Did Lomachenko Become An ATG After Beating Linares???

Not sure why people are acting as if he wasn't an atg amateur with 300 something bouts, and six non amateur bouts under pro rules after that. He should be really advanced as a pro under those circumstances. As an example, Rigondeaux, who has a ton of amateur fights as well, actually won a belt in one less post amateur fight than Lomachenko did. The lengthy amateur career left Lomachenko far more advanced at the start of his pro career than a Devin Haney. Now just think if Haney stayed in the amateurs for two Olympic games. He would turn pro sometime after 2020. He would be a beast right from the start, just as Loma and Rigondeaux were. Some people are acting as if it's miraculous to get titles in three divisions, in so few fights, when not facing the best in each division. I'm saying, Loma is already like a seasoned pro due to bis extensive amateur background, so it should be no, surprise. He's a talented boxer on top of that.

 

Not yet but on his way to something special if he can beat Mikey Garcia.

 

Who ever believes a guy with 14 or so fights is one of the best ever you are delusional. If he beats Garcia and cleans out 135 then now we are talking big time. Loma is p4p no.1 now at the moment though

His resume is already HOF worthy. IMO, he needs a few other P4P wins and maybe a title at 140 to become an ATG. He'll get there.

I'd say that Lomachenko is ATG-worthy on the eye test. I've not quite seen anything like him. Resume wise, no.

 

His resume is already HOF worthy obviously not ATG but he will be at the end of it all.

But if you don't think what he has already done is HOF worthy then you need to watch another sport.

 

If he retired today, I'm not sure Lomo's resume is any or that much better than Kazuto Ioka's. That's real talk. It's a debate either way. Now Ioka was incredible so that's quite a complement to compare them but this talk needs to be dampened down a bit. That or we could spread the proper praise to others that warrant it on the same or greater level? I don't understand those that seek to hate and degrade Lomo but also don't understand those willing to make such dramatic or silly claims knowing they are provoking those who aren't into that fanboy jock riding business...

lets not get carried away,. hes elite, and a fast achiever of that.

to get HoF is still in the works, let alone progress to ATG.


But I will say this, I believe he becomes HoF worthy very soon.
