Did Loma's showboating annoy or please you?

Oh the Ali Shuffle was Great, Sosa was awesome, I love how he kept trying to one-up Lomachenko's showboating with some of his own. Sosa at one point also did the move that Roy Jones used against B-Hop in the rematch where he stuck his left arm out (elbow at 90 degree angle, glove pointed at the ceiling) to get the opponent to focus on that, then throws the right hand. That was funny too.

I quite enjoyed the Showboating duel that they had.

 

Not a fan of showboating generally and it seemed out of character for Loma, but he showed great respect to Sosa after the fight and that's all that really matters.

 

There's different types of showboating, and against different kinds of opposition.
I've seen guys showboat against opponents that shouldn't be in the ring with them in the first place, in which case it's degrading and ridiculous.
In this case I'm totally fine with it, as the opponent surely was worthy to be in there and a legit top 10 opponent in the division. If Loma takes a soft touch for once and then starts clowning him, I certainly won't be ok with it.

 

Indifferent towards showboating so long as it's being done against a live opponent. If a fighter can against a world class opponent and WIN then more power to them. Although seeing a world class fighter taunt a badly over matched opponent always leaves a poor taste in my mouth, can't stand that...

 

Showboating should never bother anyone. Jmo

 

It both pleased and annoyed me..but it was ultimately pleasing.
I want Loma to showcase his skills and attention to be drawn to him BUT Sosa is a nice dude who didn't really deserve any of that. The one where he acted like his own body shot was a painful one and winced was tasteless but obviously when showboating/displaying humour, it's easy to overstep a little and Loma was being very cordial in the final round. When Sosa almost fell out of the ring, Loma tried to make sure he didn't fall out and was being nice there.
The showboating is what people will remember, ultimately, like we do with Roy Jones Jr. To be able to showboat and toy with your opponent does give you an aura of invincibility so Loma should continue doing it, just try not to overstep.

 

Really enjoy watching Loma, but his antics were uncalled for especially considering how much of a mismatch the fight was.

Think it was a bit uncalled for but wouldn't go so far as to say it annoyed me. I suppose Sosa is not some overmatched journeyman but a legitimate world class fighter. So if you're good enough to run rings round him like that then why not.

 

Not a big fan of showboating but if you are on about the Matador bit i didnt mind it, he had pretty much turned Sosa in a Matador way an instant before it anyway. Dont remember really seeing any other form of showboating from him in the fight.

 

I like flashy fighters so enjoyed it.

 

Loved it! Acting the matador then imitating a bull missing wildly was so awesome. I admit, I actually didn't get what he was doing till I watched the fight again. Makes Whitaker's ass-shaking and sticking his chin out look so meh.

 

Calzaghe has no natural rhythm it's more of an awkward dad dancing type......stiff hips.
