honestly the kid deserves respect from anyone after chasing a world title in his second fight even though hes handlers were not to keen on it.

i thought he did very well tonight even after the weight issue and a few bad low blows. not to take anything from salido, he won the fight but for a guy in his second pro fight to do that well in a world title fight, THAT DEMANDS RESPECT

Unfortunately, most people will write him off and he's now a bum. It's just the way it is on these boards :D

Yeah, he gets respect. However his fans hyped him up way too much.

I thought he had a shot of stopping Salido in the 12th but Salido is a tough son of a *****

The guy was way too tentative and gun shy

Not writing him off but what did he show tonight? apart from being younger and having the Stamina to try and hit a home run in the 12th.

I will always respect people who dare to be great, and I'm not talking about just boxing.

I rather see a guy who risk everything and try to succeed than a guy who risk nothing. That's how I view the world and I will always respect people like Lomachenko, regardless of success or failure.

So yes, I respect Lomachenko as a fighter and a human being. He came up short, but there's no shame in that. I thought the fight was a draw and he was the stronger fighter down the stretch. He didn't fold or get KO'ed. Lesson learned, but he's got a lot of potential.

I already respected him, but he did earn my respect in how he handled a hostile environment and a decision that ultimately went against him with class.

He showed heart and nearly pulled off the knockout late, but I think it just took him a little too long to adjust and he gave Orlando a little too much respect in the middle rounds. All in all though, this will be a great learning experience for him going forward.

I respect the fighters who test themselves, and who don't point fingers at others even when there's an opportunity to. That's a champion's mentality, and he'll get there soon enough.

had Lomachenco of given it his all by letting his hands go but came up short, no problem. but not letting your hands go and doing nothing isn't exactly a skill. anyone can do that.

    Wrong tactics.

Not taking anthing away from Salido though. Salido on the right night beats anyone.
