Ironically, in England, he would've still scored a 12th round BKO with Eddie Hearn or Frankie backing him.

Actually, I gained respect for Lomachenko. He took a lot of illegal low blows thanks to Laurence Cole, then came back and almost stopped Salido in the 12th, showing he has lots of stamina, great chin, although he did not get hit to the chin very much He will become a world champion at pro...........

Joshua IS fighting bums at the minute. he only had his fifth fight last night. they'll be moving him up to a much higher level in about 6-8 months time. they're even talking about fighting for the British title.

Clown?? Joshua is the one prospect in world boxing that stands out. hey, he even has the mental strength to let his hands go. unlike the pathetically weak minded Lomachenco who is going nowhere fast.

Joshua is the one that will have people talking about the Heavyweight division again. just watch. whereas Lomachenco has everybody talking about how well he grabs hold of people and does nothing. i guess the Ukraine has an abundance of world class Wrestlers???

The reason he's letting his hands go is because he's fighting total bums at the moment, Lomachenko also let his hands go against Jose Ramirez (still a miles better opponent than anyone Anthony Joshua fought so far).

Erm....Inoue doesn't stand out? You know, the guy who is fighting for a world title in his first handful of fights...PLENTY of prospects around the world stand out, foolish to suggest anything else.

He gained my respect. BUT, I don't think he is what a lot of his nuthuggers on here think of him.

He may turn out to be a lot better because of this loss. He now knows that the ams are nothing like the pros. He does have a some good things going for him, though.

From what I saw last night, he does seem to have a pretty good chin. Salido tagged him a few times and he didn't seem to have been rocked badly by those shots. He did, however, seem bothered by the body-shots (the legal ones). He also seemed to catch his second wind by the 11th round, so that was pretty good considering all the legal and illegal work that Salido did in the fight.

Cons? He has decent power, but not a game changer against world-class level type fighters. Salido as war torn as he is, was more tired than anything else, it seemed. Lomachenko also doesn't seem to have the best defense. If he had opened up earlier, he may have very well finished off Salido.

Anyhow, I think he will learn from this loss and comeback and be a champ someday. But his team better keep him away from Rigo and especially Mikey Garcia. Garcia WILL stop him.

    What did he show?

    1) Great (clean) combination punching.
    2) Ability to take a punch from a titleholder that came in 2 weight divisions heavier (head and body).
    3) Ring generalship.
    4) Speed (hand and foot).
    5) Power (almost stopping a titleholder that is 2 weight divisions heavier).

He didn't impress or look particularly gifted but I'll watch his next fight as well.

You can have all those attributes but they all don't mean **** when you don't let your hands go.

Absolutely. Fighting for a title in his second pro bout, against a tough and dirty fighter. He did well.

With a world class trainer like Garcia Loma would see his full potential. His corner not giving best advice in between rounds. Great body puncher tho, but Siri not a big puncher and he rocked Loma a couple of times. Better defense would raise Lomas game.

i never understood the hype he was getting but to back me up i only saw clips of him with headgear beating on
fighters that would never make it in the pros. and his first fight kinda left me feeling empty. like this is the guy
people have been hyping, he didnt look like much but i gave the benfit of doubt. first fight, he needs more time.

when i heard about the salido fight i thought ok, if he is truly 25% the fight people are claiming he could easily
beat salido. i saw the fight and was wondering wtf is wrong with this guy. obviously he is much more skilled than
salido, **** who fighting for a title isnt more skill than salido ? i gave him kind of a pass since it went 12 and i truly
thought without a doubt he was getting the decision. i figured all the hype for him he would have gotten most
of the close rounds but NOPE salido got all the close ones. wtf he really landed just as many low blows as clean
shots and i cant believe no points were taken. i dont even remember a friggin warning. lomo showed how much
of a amatuer he truly is.

he did nothing to stop the cheap shots as he SHOULD HAVE done something but nope. he is going to be kicking
himself for a long time for that performance. i know salido was aa friggin WW last night but skills and drive wins fights
not weight. he wasnt too big to be beaten, not even close. lomo i thought should had got the dec but w/e. i think he
will get better from this BUT if he doesnt change his attitude he is in for a very disapointing career. no real pro fights
totally clean, if you aint cheating in some way you aint really giving it your all.

respect yes but very dispointed in the skills he showed. he needed to try to put some hurt on salido and he didnt until
round 11. when there are that many close rounds you have to do something to break away and he didnt until the end.
he can be good but that its. he doesnt have the IT factor

He did better than I expected. He'll be a world champ and I think he is the future of boxing......if he has people making the right decisions for him. That fight against Salido shouldn't have taken place this early in his career.
