No, Mayweather has a great defense and if you get through it he has a good chin. For those that say Castillo just remember Floyd was fighting with an injury

We all know mayweather is feather fisted at 54 so let's see Kirkland vs mayweather at 54 . Whatdo you guys think ? Is he pressure enough oh & he's left handed & at 54 floyd won't ko him .

Floyd utilizes his feet better. I also think he has better anticipation and can actually counter punch more effectively than broner, who just shelled up during most of maidana's onslaught.

    Yes,

Floyd is a counter puncher. A counter puncher times your rhythm and learns your movements to antipate the punches.

THE STYLE TO BEAT FLOYD would be something that has variable rhythm, unpredictable movements, and a total ambush style with both hands full of power. The punches would have to come from all angles and you would need to keep your hands low so floyd didn't see the punches coming in.

Nobody can outbox floyd, nobody can out counter floyd, nobody can make floyd miss more shots, nobody is more accurate than floyd. The only chance to beat floyd is by using a very unpredictable style with crazy angles that he has not practiced against.

Maidana beat Broner because he is so unconventional and brought punches in from areas broner was not used to. Notice his right hand coming way high and chopping down over the shoulder. Notice he would bounce sometimes but not all the time. Notice he would go heavy with the jab then fight with no jab. It would take somebody better than Maidana, but to some degree Maidana did show some of the traits to beat a counter puncher.

The only thing maidana has that can trouble pbf is his big looping overhand right that can get through the shoulder roll defense hitting pbf in the temple. Once pbf adjusted and took it away maidana would be done.

Doubt Floyd would need to adjust. Maidana won't be able to catch him with it in the first place.

Of course he did. Just like Roy Jones showed the exact blueprint to use for Steve Davis and his terrific comeback in the 92 B&H Masters. For****ssakeImeanreally???

No, Maidana would get dominated by Mayweather.

Floyd is far superior to Broner. His upper body movement is better he also has far superior footwork. When Mayweather throws he moves afterwards so he's not there to be countered. Broner throws then stands his ground and tries to tuck up and lean back, but he's basically there to be hit. Mayweather slips shots and moves, Broner blocks and parries shots. Mayweather only really uses the shoulder roll when in close or when on the ropes. When on the outside he has a more open guard which allows him to be more agile. It's harder to move when adopting the traditional shoulder roll posture.

Broner does not utilise the shoulder roll effectively like Mayweather does. Broner predominately leans back but Mayweather does more than this he dips at the waist to slip shots, he usually only leans way back like Broner does when he's on the ropes. There is much greater variety to Mayweather upper body movement.

Maidana did not have to really chase Broner because when he wasn't moving forward Broner was coming to him and walking onto his shots. Mayweather would never do this he'd always be on the move and when inside he would would employ the shoulder or tie up effectively. Broner does not know how to tie an opponent up, Maidana was always able to manhandle him in close and break the clinch. Mayweather knows to grab the head or an arm to control and opponent. Maidana usully just grabs on to the shoulders with both arms and is often square on so is usually easily pushed around.

So Mayweather would use movement to create space and angles unlike Broner resulting in Maidana not being able to throw as much, as Mayweather would not be standing in front of him like Broner. The overhand right which was so effective in going over the shoulder of Broner would not be as effective because Mayweather wouldn't lean back from it like Broner did, he would either dip to his right away from it while rolling the shoulder or slip inside the wide right hand.

    No.

Broner is no Mayweather, he does the sholder roll and thats it. He doesnt have Floyds feet, reflexes, stamina, or focus.
It would be like saying Guerrero could beat Mayweather because he beat Berto when he was using the shoulder roll.

Maidana definitely has some chance with the power though and quickness he showed against Broner! Hope this is whats next instead of Khan.

Maidana would try to make the fight interesting for however lomg, but in the ned the speed, accuracy, sharpness, intelligence, counter punching ability, footwork, traps, would just be too much for maidana because this would all be new to him. Mayweather has fought guys like maidana before in a la Castillo X 2, and hatton, and has seen all different type of styles. I would love to see maidana would do tho.
