He looked horrible vs Bellew I am pretty surprised he beat Mchunu He seemed to only hit Bellew with 1 decent shot
He's typically a slow starter and his chin seems to be vulnerable early against fighters with a little bit of pop, and even then he managed to knock Bellew clean across the ring do a backflip and break his nose.
As has been said, he's a slow starter and Bellew jumped on him, which I don't think he was expecting. I think he felt the weight of Bellew's power in that first round too. I think he struggled with Bellew's size advantage as well. Bellew was able to hit him far more easily than he was able to catch Bellew. He left himself too open to Bellew's pet left hook when he was attacking him in the corner in the 3rd round too. Should've known Bellew was going to be looking to land that shot after dipping to his left. That shot hurt Makabu and forced him to back off and Bellew didn't let up after that. Makabu was out cold on his back 40 seconds later. Makabu looks a hell of a lot better once he gets going though.
