    Freddie, Freddie, Freddie.

Do not just start claiming that Pac himself agreed to or whatever to put a merit on your argument, if it did not come directly from Pac. If you post something like that, be sure to back it up with a legit/credible source than just saying "I heard..."

I have already asked for a source of this issue as I have seen lots of Floyd fans posting it up on this board, but still no one has produced one credible source. I would be happy to read one, and probably change my opinions on things, if there is one.

    :patsch

You wouldn't announce a fight as official if the contracts were signed.

Mayweather-Marquez was signed before Hatton-Pac took place.

    That is a fact.

Which is weird considering he wouldn't go below 24 days for Mayweather

How anyone can fault Mayweather for taking up a warm up fight is absolutely ridiculous.imo. I don't care how great a boxer I believe Floyd or whoever is, if you've been out of the sport of boxing for nearly two years, it's common sense to have a tune up fight rather than go and fight someone of Manny's ilk. It doesn't take a genius to work out why either.

That would be dumb to just jump for Pac.

Unless Mayweather did something ala Sugar Ray but too bad Pac is younger.

Seriously mate, with the greatest respect what are you rambling on about? It is well documented that the Mayweather vs Marquez fight was announced before Hatton fought Manny so I don't see what point you're trying to make.

That's not what I remember. Floyd moved his request for testing from 7 days to 14 to meet manny in the middle. Manny only moved from 30 days to 24. And then only after the negotiations were ruined, Roach said they would have agreed to 20.

So? they both came to brick wall in negotiating at that point. But all things considered, Floyd wanted the testing 1 day before the fight initially and Pac 30 days. So Floyd going to 14 days was in the middle yet Pac would only go to 24 days. Pac could have atleast met in the middle

The 14 day offer from Floyd camp was offered the end of December which Arum personally delivered to Pac in the Philippines. Pac's counter offer of 24 days was during the 48 hour closed door negotiation in which Floyd did not bother counter-offering. Should Floyd come up with the 20-day offer, Manny might have agreed. The 48 hour deadline has lapsed. Manny can not fight between mid-March to mid-May, and March 13th was getting way too close, so he did not want to waste any more time in negotiating, that is why they chose the next available best welter.

No, because no fight is going to be announced without the contracts being signed.

They announced the fight for a reason just before Hatton-Pac to land as much publicity as possible.

If the contracts were not signed and the fight fell through after announcing it.

Golden Boy Promotions would take a huge hit on many levels.

Only you don't want to see this because it helps your bias opinion.
