put him in with some come forward fighter tailor made for him so we can see just how much he has slipped its very difficult to gauge his ability vs his counterpart in marquez
Don't see why it should be the end just yet. He looked good until he walked onto a really good shot. It happens in boxing. He will want a rematch and im sure Marquez will give him it. I think his retirement will probably come this time next year.
JMM should retire he has nothing else to prove. We won't know if Manny should retire until his next fight he was doing good in the fight but we don't know if his punch resistance is still there, KOs like that at the end of a fighters career can take a lot out of a boxer
he looked ok i wont deny that but thats what marquez and pacquiao do to eachother. pacquiao hadent had a good outing in so long and marquez seems to bring out the best possible pacquiao he can muster up i think marquez being the more intelligent boxer would further take manny to school in a rematch
He was always overrated. I'm just saying this now, but Pacquiao has constantly been hyped and hyped, but over recent years he's been put in against drained opponents. He was a good fighter back in the day of Morales and Barrera, but he's been beaten by Marquez in at least 3 of their past fights, lost to Bradley, beat a weight drained ODHL, Cotto, and Margarito. Clottey did not intend to fight, and instead just came for a pay day. Ricky Hatton had already been knocked out by Mayweather, yet he was picked as their next opponent. All you have to do is look at his history to know this. Maybe karma come back after the constant weight draining of opponents.
i agree.. i never rated him as number 1 p4p because with so many fighters at elite level competing for the title you cant just get away with facing fighters coming off losses (some by brutal ko) and dragging them up and down in weight
Pac looked good but that Marquez right was evidently way stronger. Plus Pac lunged with no job, when he dropped i thought yo hes done retirement is on the horizon I wouldnt be mad at part 5 but that ppv would need great undercard support, no gesta-vasquez bs
Have Mayweather fight and likely beat Marquez and Pac next year, then they can have their 5th fight and retire with a 2-2-1 split!
I hope he did. Manny has gone through tough fight after tough fight. i think hard loss like this might be a sign to hang up the gloves... He had astonishing career. I never really liked Manny but what a furious fighter he was..:deal

I struggle to think of anyone who has bounced back quickly from a KO loss like that. That's if they bounce back at all. I know guys like Khan, Klitschko, Darchiniyan, etc have all came back fairly strong from heavy KO losses, in the case of Khan and Wlad probably better than ever, but none have ever been on the floor like that completely unconscious. I really cannot think of anyone who has successfully came back from that type of KO. Manny is 34 in a few days, does he have 2-3yrs and 4-5 fights left?
Manny is DONE. His confidence has been crushed now. Manny better retire, his chin won't be the same nor will his spirit. Marquez just raped him.
