Exactly. He was overhyped long before Martinez exposed him.

I thought he looked the same as always. Williams has always got hit a lot. Hes not a smart fighter at all, but he still has the physical gifts that got him where his is. Williams is a dangerous fighter to his opponents and himself. He would have done the same against Lara 3 years ago.

When Roberto Duran was stopped by Hearns his first year back of 1986 he was a little tentative, but after a few years he was the same and had confidence in his chin. Hearns was the same after Barkley, yet Tommy became a little more defensive and not as reckless. But once he adjusted he fought well. Takes about the 2nd year back. Donald Curry never really recovered from McCallum Norris recovered great from Jackson and might have even become a greater fighter than Jackson ever was. All different.

No, George Peterson ruined Williams. Quintana showed how flawed he was. Martinez just had the power to take him out. Lara was in the same boat with Quintana. Dominated but didn't have the pop to take out the much larger guy.

He's took some punishment in every one of his fights. I don't think Martinez ruined him but I think the blueprint on how to beat him is there

He's shot because Lara beat him? When does Williams ever beat a guy like Lara? Horrible style matchup
