I came across a comment saying that in page 302 of the book Unbeaten, Rocky is described as beating the **** out of Ali and dropped him for 5 minutes, with a body shot that apparently was confirmed by Ferdie Pacheco
I wouldn’t be as surprised as some here would. Ali is staggeringly humble talking about Marciano compared with how he speaks of some other Heavyweight legends.
Yes, the Ali who endured brutal body shots from Frazier, Chuvalo, and Foreman for 70+ rounds was dropped and reeling in pain for 5 minutes from a single Rocky Marciano body shot. Keep in mind this was also a washed up, balding, fat Rocky who hadn't fought in a decade. That sounds totally believable with no exaggerations. Swear to God, Rocky fans could come up with a legend about how he once knocked out a bear with a single uppercut shattering it's jaw and people would believe it.
