Then he would be slower than he already was, and his stamina would be adversely affected.Marciano did not have a big frame,he fought at what was the best weight for him.

You forgot the celery and carrot juice mix that Goldman reported he had to make for Rocky in camp, allegedly The Rock was not a happy guy if he did not get it.

When Johansson won the title from Floyd in 1959, Marciano considered coming out of retirement to fight Ingo but then decided he no longer had the hunger he would need to whip himself into shape. Why did he wait three years until Patterson was no longer the champion? I believe he thought Ingo was more beatable. I can't prove it but that's one logical explanation.

Every fighter is bigger between fights. Ali came back from his vacation after Liston 1 at 232 lbs. Doesn't mean it was a good weight for him.

Tua was 21 his first fight. Marciano weighed 215 for the computer fight and looks skinny compared to modern fighters. Idk why this is even argued. Men trained down to their lowest weights because corners thought it was best. That just wasn’t the way a few decades later. Tua would weigh in the 180s as well in 1950 if he were a pro. He wasn’t some genetic freak. This is an odd take. 510 people without weight lifting on a low carb diet running frequently will not stay 200 plus. The human body doesn’t work that way.
    Correction Tua was 20 u we’re right

Beautiful thing about good modern training it allows you to be bigger more explosive and not lose to much. They need less stamina now w 15 rounders gone. There is the point of diminishing returns when u get to big like Fury or AJ different kinds of big u lose something

Didn’t say it was a good weight for him said he trained down. Idk how he would fight weighing 205 or 220 w modern training. May have been fine may have affected his defense to the point of no return. Idk

I don't know why you address posts to me, I have zero interest in your opinions I was born in 1948 .Why do you feel the need to educate me on what I not only already know, but what I knew long before you?

It wouldn't make him any taller ,nor would it make his frame any bigger.I had a bigger chest and biceps than Marciano when I was 18, he was not a big man,but an awesomely well conditioned one.
What specifically do they do now that Marciano did not do when he was being trained by one of the greatest trainers in boxing history?

I just told u Tuas weight when he started. They were of the same build. They work out with weights now with strength training regimens. They use different diets for building muscle. One can easily put on 20 pounds of muscle and not be affected in the slightest. If anything they’ll be stronger and more explosive. This isn’t a difficult concept to understand. U anti rocky types will argue anything even when it’s common sense and even when the other people say they don’t know what the results would be because it never happened, but to even argue that Marciano trained down is moronic because he did. WTF r u even arguing about. Marciano’s Walk around weight in his 20s was around 210-220. There is nothing left to argue respond to someone else

Marciano weighed 215 for the computer fight and looks skinny compared to modern fighters.FFS! Marciano was a flabby 45/46, his legs have no definition whatsoever, his arms are soft, there is no tone to his body at all !. You are being absurd. Tua is huge in the body, at 21 he had a bigger chest that Jeffries and Baer.
    You're talking rubbish!
