Margaritos secret wraps gave Martinez the power to become the best Middleweight at the moment. Gotta give Margarito credit for that.

 

His face first style was not going to result in him having longetivity anyways. The Margorito fight is only a small factor(we don't know if he had wraps but it's a high possiblity). Martinez with his decent power and sharp punching was going to ko him anyways exploiting Williams' neglect on defense. I was saying Martinez is a decent puncher before the ko(months before) and people finally woke the hell up. Again, precision punching + decent power going against a no defense fighter is not a good combination.

naw paul beat the brakes off of margo. margo did not have him hurt until the 10th rd after and that was to the body over the rds. the punisher is done because of his fighting stlye and his career.

It possibly had a hand in it, but every single Paul Williams fight, literally, since Margarito had been a war where he tooks hundreds of flush punches. The 1st Martinez fight he was dropped and hurt, the 2nd he was KOed cold and then in the Lara fight he just got repeatedly busted the **** up and got a gift of a lifetime. Even against Cintron, he was hit by some right hands and didn't seem to like them. I think he fits the term of a 'walking shot fighter' who hasn't been completely put away yet.

 

he started 147 and it took good sized mw to ko him, he still has a good chin.but he will be punched drunk after another 2 yrs if hes fihgting the best.
