    I believe he did.

I don't believe he always used it though. Paul Williams said Margo didn't use it against him, and Williams would know for sure because he took heavy shots in the latter rounds.

Not sure. I don't believe him when he says that he knew nothing about it, that he is completely innocent...and that it was all down to his trainer. It seems a bit too easy to put all the blame on your trainer in that situation. It was his hands being wrapped after all...

my theory is he bgan using it after he lost the belt to paul williams. he was in dire straits at that stage with his career dwindling rapidly. but the only people that truly know would be him and his corner.

All compelling questions. Good points. In the end its really up to the observer. The cynic in me suspects that the loading of gloves happens much more than we think. The kicker for me is that he attempted to cheat against Shane who had seen better days. If he would with him then its not far fetched that he would with Cotto. Sure the gloves were signed off but Cotto's trainer was not present so who knows. In Shanes case the Commission representatives were not even in the room so if not for Richardson Margarito would have gotten away with it. I'm kind of on the fence to in regards to past discretions but as I said its not a giant leap to think he cheated before.

Well thank you for properly considering my points, not many are able to do so without throwing their toys out the pram in epic proportions, as has been seen in the thread already, though like you say, to each his own.

For everyone who sees sense in those who try and defend Margarito there will be one who wishes to see him burn. Just the way it is.

For the record i can and always have understood the points you and others have brough up.
As you say at the end, if the illegal inserts were found for one fight its more than possible they could have been there before, i wholly accept that. :good

Very good reasonable posts. In the end, it depends on what you want to believe. Pressure is always there on fighters, that's just how it is competing with millions all over watching especially in a physical sport where death or permanent disability is very possible coming out.

I personally believe he would have cheated for that one, for me it's as I posted and you responded to, I would assume he did because it was his last chance and he knew it. Not to forget that the pressure is usually on the favorite and Margarito had nothing to lose going in this fight, if he lost he would eventually still get good fights as he already does very soon. Why would he attempt to cheat against Mosley in a fight looked at as a tune up yet refuse to do so in a fight where it's promoted as his last chance?

That's how I feel but I do understand how you feel and won't argue with it, as we both know it's a case of what makes more sense to you and if my words don't then I respect that and also do respect your view on this.
