Yes. The reasoning being the amount of weight he up to on fight night, and the fact that he had been planning on moving up before the fight and has looked much more comfortable since then at 135 and 147. But it doesn't matter, because he won the fight anyway. He also won the first fight. It was only a draw by virtue of one of the judges mistakenly scoring the first round 10-7 despite the 3 knockdowns, which he later realized and admitted his error.:deal

the evidence was in the pictures and footages. you should know more cause you are a historian and relies more on video clips and reading materials. we are not making an excuse but are answering honestly. if we answered no, we would be lying to ourselves. of course there is no need for an excuse since pac won the fight. and as i've stated, he was troubled more by jmm's style more than the weight itself.

Even if PACMAN is weight drained, no way JMM's gonna stop PACMAN. JMM will always kiss the canvass that's for sure and lose and you guys gonna be crying " your boy was cheated". The only consolation your boy can be proud of is he lasted 24 rounds. That's all he can do. :rasta

I don't see any proof in the pictures other than that Pacquiao looks paler under brighter lights, as anyone does. Look at the first pic where he's standing next to JMM, the lights aren't as priminent and bright and he doesn't look nearly as pale. And he always has very pronounced cheekbones, so why is that a sign of weight draining?

If there was proof, it would've been in the fight rather than 24 hours prior at the weigh-in, where he had plenty of time to re-up his strength in the following day. There was however, no proof of Pacquiao being off his game in the fight at all for any other reason than JMM's skills. Physically he looked as good as ever.

his cheekbones during the morales saga and velasquez fights are not yet noticable. even at the weigh-in of the solis fight. i noticed pac struggling to make weight during mab2 and continued until jmm rematch. was he weight-drained? imo, yes. did it affect him, possibly but i have given jmm's style and skills more the benefit of the doubt than pac's supposedly weight problems. notice also that his cheekbones are seen in the diaz fight but not as bad as the previous 2 matches at 130. not surprisingly, we cannot see it in the oscar weigh-in.

The facts is he did struggle, and it was all over the news even before Mab II was gonna be announced.
Why need excuses? Isn't it suppose to be that Pac excuse is 1:10 against excuses of his previous opponents?
As far as we concerned he still give a tough fight whatever struggling he got, thanks to his nutritionist and his will to make the fights.
Let's just wait to happen if they meet at higher weight class... Maybe 140? At 130 I didn't even saw the speed Pac unleashed against Diaz and Hoya. While Pac wasn't even explosive at MABII and JMMII.
On the other side, styles makes fight. JMM style is pac's kryptonite, that's why everyone want's a piece of his blueprint...see Hoya, Morales I and MAB II. But he still manage to win.

yes, he was weight drained in both the barrera and marquez bout. it's the consequence on his built in the 3rd morales fight. pac-morales 3 shows how pac has bulked up too much. his best condition was in pac-morales 2, not too big but not too small. after the 3rd morales fight, it was apparent because he was sluggish in all three contests. and then when he moved up to 135, he's aggressive once again.

however, you cannot count out the skills of marquez.

pac will always have a problem fighting marquez because of his style. it's tailor-made

when pac was fighting barrera, one day before the weigh-in, there was a footage of pac after a work-out lying in the ring and covered with towels. apparently he wasn't making weight as scheduled. it showed in the pictures.

and if a person blows up another 17 pounds of weight at fight night you know there's something wrong with his weight.

Not a chance in hell. If Pacman had gone into the fight weight drained he wouldn't have lasted 3 rounds with Marquez.

It wasn't the weight that hindered Pacquiao, it was his socks. :patsch
