The ref was directly in front of him giving him a fair count. Did he quit or was he too hurt to realize 10 was reached?

He lost the count, his glove was still on the canvas at 10. He quit, pulled a Malik Scott

He's a sneaky **** trying to claim it was a dodgy stoppage - he quit. No heart. Complete cash out.

I think Martin knew the count and was confident in getting up, but when he tried getting up, he took that split second longer than he thought he would and that's what cost him. Basically he left it for the last second to get up at the count of nine, but his legs were obviously not as cleared as his head and that's what cost him. I don't believe he gave up.

He got 2 long counts and he wasn't up when the ref got to the 10 count. The Sky replays at the end are clear as day. This isn't controversial unless you're trying to cover up your embarrassment at thinking Martin would win.

I think he was dazed and wasn't concentrating on the count, I don't think he purposely quit but the ref even slow counted at 8. He wasn't fully with it from the first knockdown.

He made it look like he wanted to make the count while knowing full well he had no intention of getting up before the ref waved it off.

Martin post fight interview that just took place isn't admitting he quit, just misjudged the count.

I think he was more hurt than he realized. At the end of the day that punch landed proper clean on and it was a counter.

The 1st time he went down he really tried to take every second and cut it really close. 2nd time he did cut it too close. I dont think he quit.

Though anybody complaining it was an early stoppage, a British stoppage, even if it was, based on what had happened to that point, what do you think would of happened had he got up?

I tend to agree with this. The first knockdown he took full 9 seconds. Second knockdown he sits up immediately and smiles not the look of someone planning to stay down. I think he was dazed and just didn't have that last second "snap" to squeeze in under the ten count. I really want to give him benefit of doubt. I don't know. I do know that he had he beaten the count he was getting knocked out very shortly.
