Pure nonsense again. And the only reason Leonard fought Hagler when he did is because he knew Hagler was shot. Please don't believe me, as I don't care anyway, but read Marantz's book and see the history written down in print for yourself. You've ignored the good, tall middleweights that Hagler fought. You insisted that some decent middleweights that fought in Hopkins era would have beaten Hearns at middleweight even though none of them were anything special. And you've ignored so many facts that you don't have a leg to stand on. Uh oh an edit, lol. You've proved nothing. The only one here squirming is you.

Firstly, it's not 15 mill that Pac refused, but well over 50.
    So there's your argument already.

Secondly, the A/B side story is meaningless in this case; Golovkin is clearly the bigger champion and better fighter by miles.

A world class amateur, an unified and unbeaten champion, with 15 defenses, all by KO.

Canelo is inferior in everything except being Mexican. He was badly outclassed by 37 year old PBF; he rehydrates to 175 or above; he can't make 154, can't KO people and he's avoiding his biggest challengers at 154. He's the one forced to move up.

Canelo has no business pushing for a flat fee.
He better wise up real quick before somebody else than Gennady gives him a pizza face.

Golovkins biggest payday was a flat 5 million against Brook.

Brook was paid more than Golovkin with a piece of the PPV sells.

-Brook sold 16 million tickets with Golovkin as the B side.
-Canelo sold 50 million tickets with Liam "Unknown in the U.S." Smith.

Golovkin has sold a mere 97K-150K PPVs in the U.S.

Canelo has sold well over 4,000,000 PPVs in the U.S.

Golovkin is a unified MW Champion.
Canelo is the Lineal MW champion

Golovkin is a 3 time 1 division world champion.
Canelo is a 4 time 2 division world champion.

Canelo clearly has the bigger, more loyal fan base, and Canelo clearly brings in more money by considerable margins.

So tell me again why a/b is meaningless here?? LOL

Because Canelo vacated like a coward when Gennady enforced his mandatory, and the whole boxing world knows fully well the 4 to 1 odds for Gennady might be too generous for Canyellow.

You stop being the A side when you run and show your fear.

He absolutely dared to be great. No doubt in my mind.

Watch the guy from 1979 until 1985. He was on such a torrid run at MW and essentially cleaned the division out.

he lobbied for fights against Leonard and Hearns because he knew those would be his biggest paydays. I don't remember when the SMW division formed- I think during the latter part of Hagler's tenure as MW champ- so there wasn't anyone of note for him to fight at 168 lbs. Now there were a couple live dogs at LHW, but a smaller sized MW doesn't need to feel the need or pressure to move up 2 weight classes when there's a good amount of competition for him at 160.

And people can make mention of Hearns and Leonard moving up in weight all they want, but both men were HUGE WW's (especially Tommy,) with both men winning championships up to LHW (Leonard) and Cruiserweight (Hearns.) Those 2 guys are the exceptions to the rule about smaller men moving up. They're arguably 2 of the top 5 greatest Welterweight boxers of all time. It's like Ray Robinson moving up from WW to MW.

So you have tied yourself up again. You point that Leonard beat a shot Hagler and dont note it was a close debatable fight which further confirms alot of what I have written if you can recall and read back. You do this to yourself lol

No. It confirms nothing that you've written. Why are you lying?
