Did Marvin Hagler Suffer A Crippling Identity Crisis??

    I came across this video and am assuming its from the late 1990's. I know Hagler moved to Italy after he retired so he would have lived there around a decade at this point but could someone explain wtf he is doing?

    He speaks with a fake Italian accent when speaking English and mis pronounces words, says things backwards, as if English is his second language. Are we supposed to believe he forgot how to speak enlglish or think he is a actual Italian if he pretends he cant speak English?

    For a short example watch 4:30-5:40 listen to how he says these things

    - This is no right, this is no right

    - i want to kill tommy

    - now i no worry about that

    Nah, that's normal.
    I do that, speak funny when I'm speaking to foreigners. It makes them understand better. :lol:

    He's not being interviewed by Italian TV...If he was he would be speaking Italian. It's American or British TV

    Hagler is so bad, FAIL AT TRYING TO BE AN ITALIANO
    Love him as a fighter but not so much as a fake italian who is a native english speaker lmao

    Is the interviewer English ? Has the interviewer got English as a first language ?
    If so, well, it's just a habit he's picked up in Italy then, rather than a "crippling identity crisis".
